One of the FX guys for Enterprise came up with some different details for the Mirror Universe ISS Enterprise NX-01. I have to say, they're far superior than that yellow mess. What self-respecting Empire would paint its ships yellow?
Anyway, you can find them here (you might have to have a login):
I don't like the teeth either. But I do like the black stripes on the nacelle struts. It seems very pirate-like.

I'd lose both the teeth and the giant swords on the nacelles. But I do like the black pylons.

I like the red striping on the hull, and actually kinda like the swords on the nacelles--though I think I'd have placed them blade-forward. I agree that the teeth have got to go.

I actually like the swords on the nacelles, too. The teeth are kinda weird, but an interesting touch. I definitely prefer that "alternate" version to the on-screen type! They really should've consulted Masao on the style of the hull markings!

They remind me of some of the B5 Starfury paintjobs.
So is this what MACO's do in the MU? "Uh-Oh, better get MACO's"

The uber-huge five-view pics of the NX-01 should still be online somewhere. We should hold a contest for best pimpin' paintjob.

Uber high res five-view? Where?

Yes please tell us!
BTW I love the teeth marks on the alternative hull.

I still might have them on my computer at home.

Should be on some modeling site. Polar Lights or something?

Rob Bonchune/"nx-01Rob" put the sharks teeth on there because the directive they'd been given at the time was to give a sort of "fighter plane" look. Gotta love B&B, idiots at large.

I like the black/red paint scheme better than the yellow. But I would have toned it down. There's too much paint on it for a warship.

Well, it does not actually have to be paint- they should be able to color the metal without adding several tonnes of paint.
They have enough technological finesse to transport and re-combine living things, after all.

It's all a bit naff, really. Says a lot about the MU that their ships need all this frippery. Perhaps the source of the MU itself is drastically reduced penis sizes, or that penises (peni? penii?) don't exist at all, and men just have this sort of nubbin. It'd explain a lot, especially why all the women have lesbian tendencies.

I vote that the next series should devote a two-part episode to THAT!

"In a Mirror, Dykely?"

(Especially funny, to me, is the story of how the episode-whose-name-I-can't-remember in which Dax kisses that friend of hers who-once-had-a-male-host-but-now-inhabits-a-female-one had the fundies madly frothing at the bit nation-wide, yet whenever there was some clear lesbian action going on in the mirror universe, no-one complained.)

Vorlons? Cardassians? Naboo? Granted they're not Empires - but you get the idea.

(Isn't it explicitly "the Vorlon Empire" at some point or other?)
