I was digging around in my attic this weekend trying to figure out how the squirrels are getting in and I found some of my old Trek models. Thought you might enjoy some pics of this softly sung oldy but goldy. Not the best painted model ever, but for my skill level at the time, not too shabby. And I always loved this design. It was like a big, floating fish.

Looks real good to me- next time use some modeling putty to hide the seams at the rear (not a major issue on this model).
I always liked that ship design- though hated it's occupants with their nappy heads (or were those supposed to be something like feathers?).

I could never figure that out. The real feather-heads of the DQ, though, were the people from "Ex Post Facto" that stuck the bad acting memories in Tom.
Yah, modeling putty would have been a good idea. But I wasn't spending a whole lot of time on these back then.

The weathering on the side fin looks rather good. Better than all my models that are just flat colour, save for a few finger smudges in some colour I don't remember ever having owned. One of my friends decided to paint his Kazon Raider purely in gold. No idea why, but it still looked more professional than my Excelsior which looks like it was painted by a gang of sneezing monkeys.

The weathering's all air brush, baby. Thin down a little acrylic paint and go to town.
