Just want to introduce myself since I am a new member. I am an aspiring writer. I have one book published called Robot Soul. I am a Star Trek fan (yes I have been to a convention but no I didn't "dress up") and also a huge fan of XFiles.

You can see sample of my work here http:\\robotsoulthebook.50megs.com

Comments are welcomed!

Would that be R. Soul for short?

Never thought of that one! ;-)

The story on the site seems to be a blend of the movie version of "I, Robot" meets "To kill a mockingbird"...has elements of both.

I give credit to the Glam Metal Detectives. 8)

No, Finky, I'm afraid you're shit outta luck. Here's what'll happen: an Admin will come along, strip that URL out of your post, and say nasty things about you. And if he doesn't lock the thread immediately after, lots more of us will also say nasty things about you. Welcome to Flare!

That one must have passed me by, but will check it out if it ever comes out on DVD. I like Comic Strip and think Doon Mackichan is pretty funny. Thanks for the lead.

As for the book link I would have to agree - based on what I've seen before I'd tend to think it's doomed.

I think GMD was a BBC attempt to poach Peter Richardson and do a Comic Strip of their own. Our Souls of the Sea was a spoof trailer for a fake arty movie featured on the show, and featured the lithesome Doon in the altogether. Yay!

After the robot is found guilty and killed, do all the other robots rise up in revolt, form their own nation, and eventually enslave the human race by creating a computer generated reality?

'Cause that would be cool.

Posted by jamesgfink (Member # 1797) on :

Sorry. We already live in a computer generated reality (you must have missed the email).

Darn Admins are sleeping again. Or drunk - except for Timo, he's lost in the mall in Reykjavik.

I met a girl playing a guitar in the mall in Reykjavik. Talked with her, smiled, laughed, bought her CD. Then I went home and played it and she sang about her vibrator.

Those are times I won't see again.

Any girl who says the word "vibrator" instantly becomes at least 2 points more attractive. It's sort of a sliding scale, though. The higher you start out, the more points you gain.

Well, I guess I'm feeling generous. Instead of calling "spam", I'll just move the thread to the Creativity Forum.

(Of course, we'll have to wait and see whether this guy ever even shows his face again...)

it that why the population counter seems to grow slower than the hair on a cat's ass? [Big Grin]

She gets even more points if she carries the vibrator in her purse (sorry kids)

Good God! Three posts! Steady, finky, you'll strain something.

I honestly have no idea whether that's facetious or not. Does cat ass hair grow slowly? Quickly? I couldn't even begin to guess.

I don't know either, but yep, vibrators sure are hot. Even if they are THE ENEMY OF MANTM.

Is that what Spock was thinking of all those times?

That mantrain left the station long ago.

Do cats even HAVE ass hair? Unlike the rest of you pervs, I've never checked out a cats ass before. [Razz]

Welcome to Flare Finky, Finkster, Finkolis, Finkmeister, Finkus Maximus, FunkyFink!, Finkydoodledoo! Ok I'm done [Smile]

Don't take the razzing personal. We're all just a few sectors short of an Empire here...
