In Earth:Final Conflict they use a communications device with a screen that rolls out of the device. I was wondering if anyone remembers seeing this type of device (with a flexible display) in any other movie or series (or even comic) prior to this show?

It's not a communications device, per se, but the musical keyboard in TNG's "Lessons" (the episode with Picard's girlfriend in Stellar Cartography) rolled up like that.

Was the keyboard adaptable, in other words was it a display that could show various keyboard layouts?

Anyone seen other examples elsewhere? [Razz]
