As some of you movie go-ers may have seen recently, a trailer for FINAL FANTASY: THE SPIRITS WITHIN has recently been released. So I'm wondering, what does everyone think of it? And if you haven't seen it, go to The Final Fantasy Website to download it! This movie looks insanely awesome! I can't wait until Summer '01!------------------ Me: "Why don't you live in Hong Kong?" That thing is bloody awesome!!!I'm not familiar with the games, so I'll ask: Does it have anything to do with the games? Is it a continuation of the stories told in the games? Are there characters that overlap? ------------------ "A gathering of Angels appeared above my head. Actually, none of the 9 games (so far, there are still 2 more in planning) have ever actually had the same story, characters, or even locations. Each one is a seperate entity. As for the movie, it is also a seperate entity, but it also doesn't follow the usual formula for the Final Fantasy games. For once, the movie takes place on Earth, New York specifically, in 2065. I don't think there will be as much magic in the movie as there is in the games.------------------ Me: "Why don't you live in Hong Kong?" Rachel Roberts: "Hong Kong? Nah. Will there be swords big enough to shovel snow?I hope this won't be like the other action movies that came and went. Like "Virus", "Deep Rising", "The Relic" or "Beowulf". I'm sooo tired of them bluescreen-flicks... ------------------ Here lies a toppled god, His fall was not a small one. Well, I doubt that FF will use any bluescreens, considering the whole thing is CGI...------------------ "What he did to that walrus gentle-man was inexcusable." -T. Herman Zweibel on "Mr. Woodrow Wood-pecker", The Onion, 7-Nov-2000
