I have never been a diehard-fan of "The Pretender" but I have watched it from time to time, although the "You're-too-late-the-evidence-juuust-burned-up"-factor is even higher than in the X-files. Anyhow, when it was announced that one of our channels would air the two final episodes, I crossed my arms and thought "Well this should be good".I guess this should be regarded as spoilers, maybe there's someone out there, where the buses don't run, who really cares. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ WHAT THE HELL???? If the producers dragged the show this far they could've at least made a comfortable ending!!! Even the "S: AaB"-ending was mild compared to this shit-shit-shit. The siblings never find their mother, Ms. Parker's dad (the neverending fucker-bastard) goes around with that filthy smirk on his face, Lyle the Gimp get's nothing more than a flashbang in his eyes and the whole end-scene where they jump from the train make it look like none of them got away, with five seconds until detonation. And Mr. Raines, before he was shot like a dog in da schtreet, said that Ms. Parker's mother had one final transmission that would explain it all, the lies and deceits within the Center.
Please explain to me, did someone put a bomb in the scriptwriters toilet? The producers? Moikey Weiss'? If they didn't, could they go do that now? They could've squeezed an entire season out of the leftovers from the final ep. Even the swedish announcer-girl said, during the end credits, "This may sting for a while, but don't worry, we have two whole new shows starting next week". That helped a little. Not the two shows, but the fact that she/they sensed this wouldn't sit well wit da crowds. So indulge me. At this point, I'll settle for anything, be it rumours and speculation. *looks over shoulder* Damn, fresh out of lucious little apples... ------------------ Here lies a toppled god, His fall was not a small one. Pretender should've been cancelled a long time ago. It's sickening that Homicide: Life on the Street was cancelled for that shit. ------------------ Star Trek Gamma Quadrant Average Rated 6.27 out of 10 Smileys by Fabrux (with four eps posted) *** "Oh, yes, screw logic, let's go for a theory with no evidence!" -Omega 11:48am, Jan. 19th, 2001 **** "The candidate who slimed John McCain in the primaries and smeared Al Gore in the general election is now the president who pledges to elevate the nation's tone and bring civility to our discorse. At least Homicide had a few good cross overs with Law and Order and Munch ended up on SVU.------------------ "You don't tug on Superman's cape. You don't spit into the wind. You don't pull the mask off the ole' Lone Ranger And you don't mess around with Jim." Aban's Illustration www.alanfore.com

As far as I can tell, this show has never even been shown in this country. But then, I thought that about Profiler (which I see actually did some crossovers with The Pretender - weird) and it turns out it's been quietly ticking over on Living (the programming of which seems to revolve around shite TV shows, shite TV movies, and those, erm, erotic anthology shows - Red Shoe Diaries and its ilk).Homicide was a great show. Still waiting for Channel 4 to show the last season, though - and really hoping that their new spin-off satellite channel E4 will do a repeat run instead of only showing teen-oriented crap and Big Brother reruns. I mean, they could 'strip' all the great shows that used to be on C4, 5 days a week, like Hill Street Blues (only Brave os doing that one, I think) and so forth. And what I really can't believe is that I went out drinking last Thursday and missed the first episode of X-Files season 8. Shit, fuck, and bugger. God damn it all, in fact, to hell. Bollocks, too. In fact, damnation! ------------------ "I rather strongly disagree, even if I share the love of Dick. RIGHT ON, BROTHER!! FIGHT THE COPORATE MIGHT!!It really pisses me off what they did to Brimstone. Completely aborted it after 13 episodes, just because it wasn't getting as much viewing figures as shite like Martial Law and V.I.P. (probably). I wonder - if it had been shown on a smaller network, or sold off on stndication, what'd have happened. John Glover kicked ass as the Devil (realllllly sarcastic), and Teri Polo = ride with hers socks off. ------------------ "Sack me!? I MADE the BBC!!"

The Brimstone guy was boring, IMO. I thought the slaughter of SAaB was much worse, there was a war going on, for fucks sake! They could've added new ships, other races, definately new characters. If I may say so, and this is the first time...pleh.------------------ Here lies a toppled god, His fall was not a small one. We did but build his pedestal, A narrow and a tall one. -Tleilaxu Epigram
