The Second Coming wins hands-down in my not-remotely-humble opinion. The ongoing evolution and development of this universe which still has so much unrealized potential holds far more appeal to me than going back and retelling the original core story with flashier effects, bigger budgets, and anything that might have been familiar turned on its ear...
I get goose bumps when I think of a new series picking up where the old one left off, of new visuals of familiar designs on the screen, the thrill of not knowing what's going to come next... and the fanboy extacy of hearing the opening chords of Stu Phillips' title score come crashing through a home theatre system I couldn't have dreamed of when watching the series back in '79.
