Does the lunchlady wear a Guinan hat?

"It really captures the childrens imagination. They half expect Captain Kirk to walk in."

Then they obviously don't know one Trek series from another.

Sorry. Couldn't help myself.

Holy crap - it's based on the bridge of the Defiant!

The set evokes a holy crap from you?

Those poor children - don't they realise they are all wearing red shirts!?!

Well, that's one school that's getting vandalised and burgled this weekend.

"The scary thing is they were probably born after TNG was finished!!"

No, the scary thing is that their teacher or whoever that guy in the TNG uniform is probably handles them like little Wesleys or something.

He'll be lucky not to get assaulted by one of his "ensigns" later in life...

We're all just jealous we didn't have that at our own schools. Except that would have looked pretty dumb with TRS-80s and Apple IIs.

I was struck by a thought the other day when I was thinking about early CGI in Star Trek and realized that TNG had a seven year run and ended off with Generations in 1994 and the very next year we got Windows 95....wow....were computers really that primitive while TNG was on?? I'm thinking of the work Okuda was doing with computer screens and animations.

Not supporting Apple people - but he did his work on Macs.

I hope that teacher doesn't ask his students to "report to his ready-room" for a PHASER inspection! [Smile]

What's with the British Trekkies... first the Star Trek flat and now the computer lab? At least American Trekkies wear their uniforms to court, drive shuttlecrafts, and order burgers and fries in Klingon. We're more visible.

American Trekkies are just insane in a less socially-acceptable way.

Don't forget the dentist.

"That is just GROSS!"

Indeed. So, why did you say it?

Posted by AndrewR (Member # 44) on :

I'm talking about the CHEESE aspect. [Roll Eyes]

Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :

So, calling a joke "cheesy", which has nothing to do with edible dairy products, is gross. But the image of a man in a Starfleet uniform putting his penis into small children is good. Got it.

He's a Aussie: they were exiled for a reason, y'know. [Wink]

It's so obvious that that bridge layout would never fit into the schematics for the rest of the floor of that school. And the viewscreen is in completely the wrong place.

You gotta love a newspaper that has banner ads for its "covergirls". I'm moving to England.

You're lucky you put that wink is there, Jason. [Smile]

On the subject of "penal" colonies (That's another joke there TSN)... Americans tend to forget that the British used North America as penal colonies too... it was only after the US revolution that they started sending them to New South Wales/Van Diemen's Land/Norfolk Island.

Dont forget that he whole classroom must be facing at an akward 90 degrees in relation to he rest of he school based on the doorway's position to he viewscreen. [Big Grin]

True, it's fucked up on every sort of social and economic scale ever invented, but in the field of "sexy Illustrator/Designer-type people", it's king!

Actually, the correct adjective of something relating to the penis is "penile."

A nix Tim didn't pick. I think, for one infinitesimal moment there, the world just stopped spinning.

Indeed. I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. . .

Why? Did Tim sit on them, or something?

Well, yes. But, I wasn't the one making the lame joke.
