I wonder if Rick was asked to do the technical design again? What would a Gunstar look like 20 ywears on?

Hm... Somehow, this sounds familiar...

Does not. You're delusional. You're being deluded.
Anyhoo, serves me right for ignoring the non-Stargate threads here for so long. Mods feel free to lock it down.

I'm gonna keep it open. It pushes all the Stargate threads down. Posted by Aban Rune (Member # 226) on September 25, 2004 10:37 AM:
OK, a *play* based on the movie I could see. Maybe. But a musical? How do you write a song for Death Blossom? Come to think of it, how do you that justice with stage props?

Singing the Death Blossom? Lots of dissonance. Props? The lead spinning around with Nerf dart guns.

Mabye the musical willl make the villan intresting somehow. That's the only major flaw with the movie: the bad-guy is instantly forgetable.

Which one? The whiney emperor wannabe with the cool pointed stick, or the badass gruff general with the really cool flippy eyepiece? The latter bad guy is hella cooler than the former.

The former: they try to interject a subtext of the whiney-wannabe as the leader of the good-guy's son. It does'nt work real well.
The guy with the foldover eyepiece is indeed cool- and often imitated since then.
