Woo! Atlantis makes it to a third season, while SG-1 becomes the United States' longest running sci-fi show with its tenth! Hooray for everything! We're going to be annoying non-Gaters in the general SF forum at least until March 2007!

While we're on the subject, does anyone know when new episodes are supposed to start up again? And I mean anywhere, not necessarily on the Sci-Fi Channel. Wherever they're showing up earliest.

Atlantis starts up again next month on a Canadian premium channel whose name I forget. The Beeb is going through the current seasons now, and will catch up to the halfway point in late December and continue into the second half from there.
Skiffy resumes both series plus Galactica in January.

Holy Crap! Okay, I'm glad that SG-1 got renewed, but I'm actually suprised that it did. I just hope their stories get better flow as we get accustomed to having Mitchell around.

I've really enjoyed the 9th season. The Ori are scary... cause well we've grown to "know" this universe and these guys are gunna fuck it up majorly. Or try. They SEEM unstopable. Moreso now than the Goa'uld did - well at least since the end of season 1.
I actually haven't been liking the NON-Ori episodes in SG1.
And Atlantis needs to get on with a "plot"/"theme"/"direction for season 2. It seems to be wallowing at the moment.
HAVING said that... YAY! Season 10 and Season 3 - well done Stargate-SG1 and Stargate Atlantis!

^^ Hasbro to release 3-inch Stargate, glider TUESDAY - OCTOBER 18, 2005
Hasbro will release the first-ever toy Stargate and death glider as part of the upcoming line of Star Wars toys, according to reports at Rebel Scum and TheForce.net. Both Stargate toys and Battlestar Galactica toys will be included as a sort of "expanded universe" along with Hasbro's new Star Wars Titanium line.
Stargate items on the list include:
3-inch Stargate with Stand 3-inch Death Glider ship
The toys will be shipped along with the Star Wars line in 2006, so keep your eyes on the toy aisle at your favorite store! There is no word yet on the toys' availability outside the U.S. --------------------------------
IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME!!!

Someone's supposed to be making a large, and rather expensive, complete scale replica of the new Galactica for commercial sale. It was on the TrekBBS somewhere...
But getting back on topic, I guess it's some accomplishment to be seated with a decently-performing Sci-Fi show like SG-1 for such a long time. I remember tuning in to catch Voyager one night, unaware that the local station had instead reassigned the slot to the Stargate SG-1 premiere. THat night marked the departure of Trek as my personal crown jewel of SF TV... I was hooked from the start, and even though the shine the show sported through the first six seasons is no longer there, it's still more than worth watching every week. What with the complicated or overly hyped "SF" pablum on the air now, I find it really reassuring to tune in to some decent, if not overly kickass sci-fi on TV weekly.

To me, it also helps that even though it's a bit violent at times, Stargate is something that my 5 year old son can watch with me. (At least that's the theory. With so many cartoon channels available, anything live action or anything I want to watch is "boring", and he'll complain non-stop about it.) Unfortunately, he won't be seeing BSG for quite some time.

Anyone understand what they mean by 3" scout vessel? Isn't that ... the Raptor? I'd really like to see A Viper Mark II as opposed to a Mark VII.
