Does anyone happen to know how long the Starfighter was from the 1979 Buck Rogers TV series? There was a full-size prop built and used, but I haven't been able to find any data on that.

Funny you should ask. Someone posted a link to this site just today.

It may not have what you want, but it's a start.

I know it was wicked cool. That was the first TV vehicle that I really fell in love with. That and KITT.
I actually tried to build little toys of the star fighter out of clothes pins and stuff.

My main complaint with that design was that the front landing skid had no place to retract to since it attached right where the pilot's feet were. Unless of course that area was a mini-TARDIS.

I used to draw them as a kid.. I probly still could...
If you look at that pic... a side view would show that the wings are very "Viper" like..

That mesh is nice, unfortunately it's been stagnant for several months now.
But I have drawn up some views of the Starfighter:
It would be nice to have a definite length to apply to this thing so that I can compare it with my other designs. The cloudster site is a nice reference, but there's nothing in those pictures that I can use as a scale!

That is what a Snowspeeder wants to be when it grows up.
