When last we saw our intrepid heroes, the evil virus Megabyte had returned from the Web with new Trojan horse capabilities, and taken over Mainframe's principal office.
And for six years, this cliffhanger has remained unresolved.
And yet, ReBoot is returning. And this time, I'm not entirely sure I want it to...
Article
So, to review:
1. Tony Jay passed away about a year ago, so Megabyte will have to be recast.
2. The creators apparantly have nothing to do with the new movies.
3. Instead, Rainmaker (which bought the company of Mainframe recently) is letting fans decide between competing newbie writers.
*Rolls eyes*
We'll see how this goes...

I'm speechless...I've waited so long for this day, yet now that it's here I feel a bit disappointed. It won't be the same without Tony yet I'm trying to remain optimistic. I just hope they're able to end this cliffhanger without starting another.

Why aren't they letting, you know, Mainframe make it?
Ah well, at least the I can hope for a fellow with a suitable voice for Megabyte.
Are all the others reprising their roles?

Well Mainframe merged with another company and now exists as Rainmaker Entertainment.

Yes, but why not let the chaps from Mainframe make it, why anyone else?

If you mean the writers, well... They want to have an internet competition, apparently. Marketting works funny that way.
If you mean the studio, well... They ARE!
