I missed the first few minutes of this; I'm assuming, Mark, that your 'further explanation of the Midway station in 402' (to paraphrase your post in the 4x01 thread) was in those minutes I missed; could you fill me in?

Aside from that - Thoughts on Weir? I'm of the apparently controversial opinion that she's going to become a Bad Guy. Or Gal. I just think the fact that she doesn't have to obey base code and wants to defeat the Wraith as badly as the replicators now do will make her attractive to them; and she'll be seduced into the collective by the thought of using the replicators to defeat the Wraith. I just hope we don't have a Borg Queen type situation on our hands; I'd hate to see Atlantis become derivative.

I'm also a little bit leery of the jumpers getting hyperspace engines. They can have shields, now, too, and they already have cloaks; I feel like it's just a matter of time before Rodney decides to stick a MkII naqadah generator in one of the things and give it all three improvements at once...I loved SG for the fact that it was present-day, but now we're getting to far future type sci-fi, with the more control and use they have of Ancient and Asgard science and tech. Which is OK; they have to evolve, and they've done a superb job of it; I just hope Atlantis doesn't lose the Stargate soul of poor humans fighting in a giant universe they don't really understand.

Well I loved this episode - it was WAY better than the first episode of season 4 - but I guess that was all set-up for this episode.

Are the replicator ships Aurora-class ships??

Was the Apollo using Asgard weapons or were they the normal missiles??

I think Weir as part of the replicators has UNTAPPED potential. Let us just hope they REMEMBER to utilise her position there (I think she'll bring her own sense of human-ness and compassion to a very (obviously) robotic and ruthless society.

PLEASE SGA producers - use Weir wisely. She was the perfect character to be in such a position.

I guess Lt. Ford is still out there somewhere - maybe?

And Dr. Beckett [Smile]

I loved how Weir handled Oberoth. I love when normally staid characters really shine with real strength in the face of adversity! Go ELIZABETH!

I wonder how Carter will deal with Ronin and Teyla? I hope they develop Teyla more this season. I'd like her to have some sort of connection to the city, to the ancestors brought in. There have been a few little things about her and her connection to the city that have been nice - and I'd love to see something like that - no, before you ask - there hasn't been anything obvious - but I liked how they left the city in her hands.

What happened to the Athosians though?

Too bad if they radioed Atlantis or something - someone rows all the way out to where the city should have been and the bastards had taken their Gate!! I mean it seems that these wraith-affected societies require the gate as a way to trade between planets etc. The Athosians have been cut off from that!

I'm sure that it wouldn't be a problem to either a) leave the Athosians where they are and give them a gate or b) relocate them again.

I was under the impression the Athosians were still on whatever planet the Lantians dumped them on in "The Return". After resettling for what must be the 25th time, I think they're going to stick with where they are now.

I had a foggy idea they had been evacuated to some planet somewhere before the Asuran attack but I dunno where I remember that from. Anyway, yeah, when Oberoth 'wakes up' from Elizabeth's trick...the look on his face...the way he says "What?"...That was a cool moment.
