Simulposting....
Teaser... -I knew Hiro couldn't possibly kill Ando. Let's see how the master of time fares against a precog! -One of us, one of them. The Bennett ladies team up! -The puppetmaster guy is fucking creepy -Adam! Dead! At least we now know where Peter got the absorbing power from....
Act 1... -Daphne & Matt... "Lucky guess" -Creepy Mohinder -"This is getting stalky, so I'm gonna go.." -REALLY creepy Mohinder
Act 2... -Pa Petrelli wants Sylar, hmm.. -Sylar & Peter escape! -Mr African-isaaak? -That's odd... *thunk* -I really dislike this puppet guy. But I gotta wonder how it was that he & Meredith know each other. Did she once work for The Company tracking dangerous folk down? Hmm.
Act 3... -One minute, can't hurt! This is going to be fun. -Daphne finds Mohinder's little secret... and doesn't care, heh. -Stupid puppet man doesn't know Claire can heal, muahaha! -Peter & Sylar take on Pinehearst -...but not before they fight... and now Sylar is in the coma. This is very bad for Peter. -Way to go Tracy! Although I doubt leather would shatter when frozen...
Act 4... --What hold does Pinehearst have over Daphne? We'll find out I'm sure... -HOLY SHIT! He doesn't just ABSORB the powers, he REMOVES them! That explains Adam's death...! He finally showed his age...

I can't imagine how they'd bring Adam back, but something tells me they will eventually. No one seems to die for very long on this show.
I wonder why Arthur's such a bastard? Taking his own son's powers? Wanting to do his evil deeds? You'd think Angela would choose her husband better. I wonder if something happened to make him a bad guy, or if he was always that way.

OK, they could just add a cup of Claire's blood and 'rehydrate' Adam. After all, Noah was dead when he got revived so why couldn't they take the ashes and whip up some Insta-Adam? After all...it IS Heroes we're talking about.....
So Arthur Patrelli is a Power Vampire. Anyone else get the impression that Arty is going to try to create his own "Special Camelot"?

Maybe it was just a small thing, but this whole "African guy" (does he even have a name) living literally "somewhere in Africa" is either B) kind of insensitive to a whole continent of people or B) part of some revelation about who/where/when he really is.
I'm hoping it's B. He seems clean cut and wears nice clothes, so wherever he lives, it's very likely not that little hut in the middle of the desert. I think we're going to find out more about this guy.

Well he's wearing a "universal studios tour" t-shirt, so I imagine he's at least been to LA before.
Point of logic. Papa Petrelli now has Sylar's hunger. Spiffy.

His name is Usutu.

That doesn't make sense, though. I mean...what, his power makes him alive even though he's "supposed" to die, and his body somehow "knows" it's 400 and when his power is removed his body decides "well time to dust myself now"? I mean if his power got removed he should live another 50 years or whatever until he dies of old age.

You'd think that. But, we know the absorbing of powers doesn't kill someone in and of itself, as Peter is still hale and hearty after having his powers sucked out.

Yeah at first I thought Pa Patrelli had the ability absorb people's "youth" to rejuvenate himself. But when Peter didn't die then I realized he was just a power vampire. So who were the people Usutu painted as villains again? I know I saw Pa Patrelli, but who else?

I think it was Arthur Petrelli, Knox, that guy with the blue fire hands, and some other guy who looked like he had a goatee.

Maybe he just removed EVERYTHING from Adam - and didn't need to suck everything out of Peter... he maybe able to vary the 'intensity' at which he uses his power.
I'm thinking the puppeteer guy might come in handy down the track controlling Pa Patrelli.

I also lament the fact that there are more and more 'duplicate' powers and fewer new ones; the 4400ish plot ("Oh no we have a formula to produce powers in normal people and this guy wants everyone to have powers so we have to stop him") on top of the old 4400ish plot ("Oh no this guy with powers saw the future and we have to save it"); and the weird fantasy-ish elements like the removal of powers showing a weird glowy light being physically sucked out of people as if there's some kind of spirit in them or something (which is kind of like that time on The 4400 when Shaun sucked Kyle's possessing intelligence out and it was a weird glowy light). Oh, and the other two 4400ish plot points ("Oh no I'm the doctor who injected himself with a prototype of the power-granting serum and now I'm mutating" and "Oh no the Bad Guy Or Is He has the power to remove other people's powers" respectively). < /rant >

Well there's those of us that haven't seen The 4400 so have no idea what you're talking about.

You should. It's like Heroes, but less comic-bookish. Canceled prematurely though, four seasons.

Oh, look. They've found ANOTHER way to neutralise Peter. How utterly unsurprising. My wife preferred to stay in the kitchen cooking dinner rather than watch this week, which is telling. . .
