Stun bubble, hehe.

Am I the only one that thought Teyla running around like mad all the while holding her baby was just a wee bit ridiculous?

"You were supposed to fix those! You had two years!"
"Yeah, well, I was busy..."

"Michael came to try and take over the city and blow it up. We stopped him. End of report." [Big Grin]

...And Michael goes out with a silent thud.

I think this was written before Atlantis was cancelled, but it remains that Michael, arguably the second best developed villain in the show (after Todd, IMO) gets quickly dispatched in a relatively straightforward Evil Caper. I was keen to see what he had in store for Teyla's son, but that may have to stay in the realm of fanfic as Todd's story will probably have priority in the planned Atlantis movie (unless they merge the two storylines, which they've often done in the past).

It's interesting to see just how quickly everyone seems to like blowing up the gate room these days. They already blew it up once this year, blowingo ut windows and the like, with nary a mention in the following episodes. The first time they did this a couple years ago, they had the Replicators rebuild the whole thing in hours. No such luck this year...

I was just wondering, who the hell puts a door there?!? You'd think the Ancients would have something like OSHA so they could avoid stuff like that.

Well, SOMEONE has to clean off all the seagull poop.

And I'm talking Pegasus galaxy ALIEN seagulls.

With six wings.

And razor sharp beaks.

And iPhones.

Really nasty.

Oh please, Mark... it's obvious that the Ancients actually tried to get the Replicators to do it, and that's the REAL reason why they rebelled!

Yeah, I'm kinda pissed that they offed Michael, too... he was definitely a great villain. But at the same time, having Teyla do the deed was perfect symmetry.

I thought it was a bit odd that Sheppard said to give Michael "no quarter", and yet he looked a bit disturbed that Teyla did exactly that. Of course, you DON'T mess with a mother and her child!

I enjoyed the episode. Nothing like a good old fashion manly hand to hand battle on a giant tower.

I am sorry to see Trip die, he was a very effective villan. I found the solution of dialing the gate with the shield down to be a bit obvious, it was the first thing I thought they should do when I saw how close the jumper was to the gate.

All in all, this episode reminds me of how much I'm going to miss the series when it goes off the air.

Which is exactly why Michael had ordered the shield raised in the first place... [Wink]

I thought it was cool that Teyla just offed him. I was sure she was going to do the whole magnanimous-hero thing and haul him back up and they'd stick him in the brig and he'd escape and fuck everything up once again.
