Seth MacFarlane is so cancelled; has been, in fact.

I'm not a fan of Seth MacFarlane's humor. I can't stand Family Guy or any of his other cartoons. I'll give the first episode a shot, but I'm not expecting much.

This looks hilarious, will run three or four seasons, and the timing is basically gonna kill Discovery.

How exactly?

There are a number of things working to kill Discovery. I don't think this is really one of them.

Having an overly serious and unintentionally comedic Trek show on a pay service at the same time as a send-up that pees on such while on a national network is bad for the former. It'd be like Galaxy Quest showing for free alongside an exclusive viewing of Star Trek V.

Saw the trailer. I didn't find it to be particularly all that funny. And that's coming from someone who loves Family Guy.
The show looks good though. The VFX are great. But as we've learned from the Star Wars prequels, great VFX does not a good product make.

Just looks like flash with not a lot to really offer. Not a McFarlane fan.
