If you thought Jar Jar's antics were annoying, you'd be glad that they held back on a lot of his antics. I just bought the screenplay, and many scenes describe Jar Jar getting into a lot of trouble... The movie portrayed him as a clumsy, dimwitted, but full of good intentions. The screenplay still shows him clumsy and dimwitted, but much more self-interested.
Personally, I like what they've done with the character... Other than that, the other characters were the same.

I like the one at the Mall, where you press the button and he says "Meesa gonna do a little boogie" and then proceeds to thrust his animatronic pelvis to the tune of the Cantina scene. It makes me giggle.

We own one of those. It's quite scary. He'll dance if you sing to it, also.
