Yay, the makers of Age of Empires II (one of my all time favorites) has just signed a deal with LucasArts to develop a Star Wars RTS based on the AoE engine. sweet.

I just recently got AoE2. Good game, a little dull in single player games... but a lot of games usually are.

Oni is fun in singleplayer! (well, that's all there is, they didn't bother developing multiplayer support...)

I played the first three levels yesterday, boy it feels good to humiliate a giant like levelord Barbaras by kicking him to the ground from behind when he's trying to get up from the previous kick. It's like a form of abuse!

I've kind of fallen out of the RTS-genre after ending Dune2000. I remember the original Dune 2. That was great. So was the original "C&C Tiberian Dawn".
Now they all feel the same...

Yeah, but it didn't do anything for me, really. Neither did RA:II...
The C&C Renegade will be cool though, a first-person shooter set in old C&C, with the old-style harvesters and buildings.
The weapons-selection is a bit lacking (only 5) but I suspect they'll make up for it in more ways than one... You can supposedly drive the vehichles and choppers, occupy machinegun-nests and enter the buildings.

BROODWAR!

I use to play that all the time. Now it's a lot of Unreal Tournament and Age of Empires II. I'd like to get Voyager Elite Force.
