Oooh, Georgie ...

I guess we'll see this stuff when they're released on DVD after ep III.

I hope Jar-Jar gets eaten by Jabba ... [Smile]

Or perhaps not.

All hail The Debunker!!

OMG.

If Lucas knows what's good for him, he will consider this VERY CAREFULLY... or millions of voices are going to cry out in terror and send a thousand terrible things heading his way.

I pity those who believe the story. Lucas wouldn't do that.

Posted by Snay (Member # 411) on :

Of course Lucas wouldn't. He would never DARE do anything to alter the original trilogy.

Oh.

Wait.

(And especially since what's-his-name - I can't believe I forgot! - who is playing Bail Organa said in an interview that Lucas told him he might get inserted in ANH when Alderaan gets blown up screaming "nooooooo" ...)

"Lucas wouldn't do that."

We *are* talking about the same G. Lucas here, right?

Victor Sufuen... Bobby Simo... no, Jimmy Smits plays Bail Organa, by the way. And I'm not sure what to think of his possible insertion in ANH. Especially if he's put in for no other reason than to scream really loud, because that could completely destroy the impact of the scene. Luke's cry in TESB:SE ruined the original dramatic climax...

That's who! Can't believe I forgot his name ...

If there was actually a scene where we see some of Alderran, and then see Jimmy Smits walking out, looking up, seeing the huge shape in the sky, and then screaming some how....it might be ok... but still...

It's not like we've really gotten to know Bail Organa. He'll probably play a decent part in Ep 3, but it wouldn't be like seeing Obi Wan on a planet right before it got blown up. He's just not someone we care enough about yet.

George Lucas has stated that he considers the "special editions" as the final version of the movies. Don't get your hopes up of him adding/changing anything to it now that its final. In fact, he doesn't even have DVD releases for the movies planned any time soon either.

He has stated that his order of business is:
Episode III
Indy IV, if they ever get a writer
Relax, maybe do a TV series...

Yeah, well, forgive me if I take anything Lucas says with a grain (maybe a pound) of salt. I'd be willing to bet we'll see some more "tweeking" to the original trilogy by the time they're on DVD.

McCallum said something somewhere once about DVD extra shit once that seemed pretty definitive. Like a yes.

Posted by Veers (Member # 661) on :

Indy 4's got a writer, Jeff--Frank Darabont, of the Majestic and Shawshank Redemption fame. Of course, we have to wait until 2005(tenatively) to see the film...

Of course Lucas would mess with the original trilogy! I meant he wouldn't do it again and put some silly characters from his prequel trilogy in it. He's not that stupid.

Then again, he produced "Howard the Duck" and "Willow," didn't he?...

Veers, WTF are you talking about? I'm speaking ONLY of Lucas NOT messin' around with the original trilogy again. NOT anything else.

Posted by Veers (Member # 661) on :

If you read the other posts, Snay, you would know:

I was talking to Jeff RAVEN about Indy 4, not Jeff Bronson . Perhaps I should've put it in quotes, but still...

Who's Jeff Bronson?

Posted by Snay (Member # 411) on :

I think he's Charles Bronson's son.

Posted by Veers (Member # 661) on :

Wait...isn't that your name, Snay? I'm confused. [Confused]
Regardless, I was talking to the OTHER Jeff.

Posted by Snay (Member # 411) on :

Sure its my name. My really mispelled name. You replaced an "e" with a "ro" ... [Smile]

Posted by Veers (Member # 661) on :

Ah, BENSON. Sounds similar.

Posted by Snay (Member # 411) on :

It should. I don't know how to tell you this, but ... Veers, I am your father. ::whooosh::

Another family crisis in the making.

No...it's not true...it's IMPOSSIBLE!

This guy is going down hill. he's calling noise a good thing... which it may be, but on film you can not control it, on digital, the noise (or "molocules") can be varied, in color, depth, opacity, and so on.

This digital proccess is a lot better.
