With EpIII less than a month away, has anyone heard if any movie theaters are going to be showing the other five movies? I would have thought that it would be a good way to build up the hype, as well as allowing others to see it all in the theaters for the first time. It would be nice to take my son to see EpIV at least.

I haven't. And you probably won't unless LucasFilm authorizes it. I believe they have to pay for the rights to show the movies. I don't know if there are arrangements for that or not, but it would make sense to at least have Eps 1 and 2 available to see in the theaters.

I just showed some friends at school MagnoliaFan's re-edit of Episode 1, "Balance of the Force". They rather enjoyed it, gonna show 'em the re-edit of Episode 2, and maybe Clone Wars. Watch those, don't bother with the originals.

I figure in a couple of years Lucas will RE-re-release them all with updated scenes as he really REALLY intended them to look.

Of course. Then the uberFanBoyBoxSet will be released with all six updated movies and both seasons of Clone Wars.

Eventually, Lucas will just re-edit the movies with all new CGI scenes- thus excluding all the original actors and scenes completely.
...because that's how he really REALLY REALLY intended it. Really.

Without starting a new thread for it: I expected more buzz about the fact that two (two!) Star Wars TV shows are now 100% confirmed real.

1.) A TV show set inbetween Episode III and Star Wars.
2.) A cartoon show. Apparently a continuation of the Clone War shorts, only full size (I presume half an hour.) and computer animated.
OH MAN CRAZY LOUD NERDS YEAH YAAH AIN'T IT COOL NEWS REPORT DUDES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reguarding edits to the Phantom Menace - what is the edit version that is one of the best I heard, where Jar Jar Binks has all his lines scrambled and subtitles added that make him sound quite... wise. Most of Anakin's lines were cut too - like "Yipppeeeee!".
Anyone?

Someone told me the rumor about the series set post-Ep 3 will be centered around Amy Allen's blue-skinned hottie Jedi, Aayla Secura, who apparently doesn't die in the movie.
It's plausible. Just because Kenobi and Yoda sneak off with their own plan, doesn't mean there aren't other Jedi still out there in hiding. Plus... blue boobies.
The cartoon series sounds good, though I'd prefer it not be CG. It also couldn't be more Clone Wars since the Clone Wars cartoons currently take us up to about a half an hour before the events of Episode 3. So it would have be set in another time frame.

It depends what they mean by CG. I mean, pretty much ever cartoon ever is now done with massive computer help (watching Cartoon Network circa 2003 you could see it slowly creeping over every show they made).
Plus, there's a world of difference between, say, "Beast Wars" style CGI and "Energon" style CGI.

You're right. I guess I just mean that I don't want it to turn into some lame computer animation style that's a bunch of animated blocks moving around. I want it to keep the cool, hand drawn look that the Clone Wars eps had.
