Forum 10 is everywhere, it's all around us, here even in this room. You can see it out your window, or on your television. You feel it when you go to work, or go to church or pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth...
Unfortunately, no one can be told
what Forum 10 is.

You have to
see it for yourself.

Forum 10. It has been ages since I last heard mention of that place. Come close, JeffKarde, and here the Readers Digest version of the story of Forum 10.

You see, many many months ago existed a place called Forum 10. But that place was seldom visited. The Deep Space 9 forum is trudging along that same path. It then that The Mighty God of (Solar)Flare decided to banish Forum 10 from the Flare Community. And, thus, Forum 10 was erased from existence and all records destroyed.

But Forum 10 lives on! Yes, Forum 10 still exists although it is unaccessible to the masses. It exists in the land of limbo, awaiting the time of the Third Coming of Flare and the Great Purging of UBB Code. At that point, the eternal damnation and torment that Forum 10 faces now will be at an end, and it can forever leave our plane of existence. Eternal rest to Forum 10.

Nic: DAMN IT MAN! WE NEED LESBIANS! LOTS AND LOTS OF LESBIANS!

Should I ask what forum 10 was used for? TNG perhaps? No, I think I shall let this question rest un-answered, because as I speak, Chuckles over yonder has a .40 caliber to my head. Rest, yon Forum Ten -- for it was that reason for which Red Quaker came to Flare, to expose the conspiracy behind the mysterious vanis

Siegfried's basically right.

In the beginning, what is now the Starships and Other Technology Forum was divided up into a Starships Forum and a Gadgets and Devices Forum. However, Gadgets and Devices didn't get much traffic, so it was merged with Starships.

However, Gadgets and Devices lived on, in a state of undeath. Those wily enough to know how to enter the mysterious netherforum had a little fun posting there, but CC made it known that was a big no-no. Turns out that Forum 10 was tied into the whole of Flare, and that posting there could really mess things up, and there would be a great wailing and gnashing of teeth and such. Soon after, Gadgets and Devices disappeared from people's minds, until JeffK inquired about it.

This is also why, if you'll take a look at threads pertaining to the upcoming-in-the-future-although-we-don't-know-when Great Forum Consolidation, you'll see a push to get Bernd installed as a Mod. You see, Bernd was the Mod of Gadgets and Devices, and has ever since been "The Lost Mod."

Ah. Okay. Actually, I skimmed across Fabrux's old thread on the subject and wondered what happened to it, but I decided not to resurect an old thread ...

Fascinating bit of trivia, there! Honestly, I'm not interested in posting on it, I was just wondering about it. Honest. Stop looking at me like that, Charles!

"Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure."

"Do you know how to get to Forum 10?"

"Of course."

"Can you tell me?"

"..."

Or:

"You're scaring Charles."

"That's not Charles! I don't know who he is. I don't know who any of us are. It's like I've just been dreaming this Forum, and when I wake up I'll be posting...somewhere else. Somewhere totally different."
