I was just wondering, is China part of the International Space Station team?

Does anyone have a list of the participating nations?

Yeah, there need to be more African countries w/ space programs. I mean, can't you just imagine sending a probe from Djibouti to Uranus?

Yeah, because we all know the more sophisticated cultures know whom they should really hate, eh? The Belgians.

Okay, so I had to take a stab at the Brits. I don't know whom Canadians hate... *L*

I always find it funny that Japan puts the word "Defense" in all of it's psuedo-military, military, or otherwise governmental agencies. After all, what could be so defensive about their space program??

They have to. Stipulation of the 1950 armistice. They're not allowed to field anything but a self-defense force anymore.

Obviously this changes sometime in the near future, as all anime & manga shows us. Or, to quote Rykja after I mentioned that I was surprised that JAL hadn't invested in an SST yet, "Well, they don't want outsiders to know that they have those things outside of manga. It'll help keep their monopoly on being the center of the world after all the cataclysms."

Although they're only allow to have "defense" forces, but man, look at their military nowaday, they kickass both in quantities and quality, I don't think it's pure "defense' any longer.
