Hi, everyone. I'm new here, and figured I'd introduce myself. Yeah, I'm a Trek fan like most people here, mostly TNG and Voygaer. I got lost somewhere in DS9, so I'm just waiting for it to be replayed on syndication.

Greetings linenoyz, most people here seem to be Trek Fans, but I've noticed little talk of Trek, but then again, I only go here and the Flameboard, not any other forums. Welcome, and good luck.

Welcome! If no-one else has gotten around to typing a reply here, it's probably because they're all crowding over at the "Pre-Enterprise Revealed!" threads. I hope you find us a pleasant crew. We can get a little hostile over points and such (just check the aforementioned threads ) but nothing too bad. We bash people with strong idiosyncratic tendancies as well. Just kidding. Well, sorta.
I'm a fan of all Trek except DS9. I'm very much into the ships and technology. But enough about me.
Check out the faq, read some threads, get up the courage to post among the veterans...see ya around!

Welcome to Flare, linenoyz! I second what Daniel said. Some of us are really passionate about Trek, some of us are just passionate about Trek, and some of us are just here to remind us that Trek isn't the only science-fiction out there. Most of us don't bite here, but I will warn you: to newbies a lot of us seem to be bitter 40 year-olds who life passed us by leaving us working at McDonald's for $5.15 an hour (I'm not one of those people. I'm only in my 20's. ). Just a friendly little warning, but almost all of the time it's just us joking around with each other.

Thanks for the kind words and warnings. I might just lurk about a bit to get a feel for the place. I must say it's a beautiful UBB (what else would be expected from the great Charles Capps?).
Okay, enough sucking up.
Just to let you all know, I'm 21, from Florida, and I run two boards (one UBB and one vB). I ended up here after spotting a link on UBBDev, but I figure this place seems interesting enough to join.

Interesting, just interesting.... well, okay.... Yes, debating with some around here is like beating your head against a wall, or sticking your fingers in a blender and turing it on, although not as pleasent.... The use of periods, commas, and the such is almost mandatory, as is the use of the enter key, sometimes using paragraph breaks every now and again is also helpful. and,above all, watch out for VP-chops.....

I am also new here. Linenoyz is actually a friend of mine, and he let me know about this board. It looks pretty interesting, and I'm hoping to have some good discussions about one of my favorite pasttimes.
I am also a Trek fan, although probably not as hardcore as some here. I used to watch TNG, but never really got into DS9 and Voyager. I kinda wish I had gotten into Voyager, because after seeing the series finale, I realized I had missed something good.
I'm also a big fan of Star Wars. I can't wait for the release of TPM on DVD. Along with that, I'm just basically a hard core fan of science fiction.

I too shall welcome the newbies. (I wonder how many "I'm new" treads we have?) I am PopMaze. I don't post all that often, but you'll notice I am a senior member, so I've been around. Here are few other things you ought to know:
Don't mess around with CC (Charles) or Jubes (CC's girl). They'll know how to make you life hell if you do.
Don't ask about the Defiant's length. PLEASE DON'T EVER DO THAT. It'll piss of Frank.
Also don't ask about the size of Sol's thing. We already know it's really big.
Let's see...ah! Don't spam. We hate both the internet and imitation meat kind.
