This game rocks! So far, I'm at that point where the borg are forcing me and my team to go Species 8472 huntin'. I don't wanna. I do have this one problem though. Whenever I try to use a cheat code it tells me that "cheats are not enabled on this server." I don't get it. I'm not any server. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Well, maybe you should try the FAQ answer: don't be a pussy.
Cheats are for people who can't play good and don't have faith in their abilities. IMO, cheats are allowed only AFTER you've played the game through, proven yourself and want to see what those codes actually did.
And only in single player, cheating against others in online games is worse because it makes it harder for serious gamers. That, and everyone can put a name on wussiness. Yours...

Absolutley. I have no problem with people who use cheats, as long as they're tried it without them, and are well and truelly stuck (and not just died once).

If it's that hard, play it on easy. It's still a it of a pussy thing to do, but it's not as bad as cheating from the get go.

Gawd, and people complain that games don't last long enough nowadays...

Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

Also, ammo- and gadgetwise, cheats are baaaed.
I am always eager and happy to acquire new weapons or weapon parts in shooter/adventure games, especially if it's credit based and I've had to work hard to get it (CounterStrike, Tachyon: The Fringe).

Hell, in some games, just finding some ammo to a dried up piece is like christmas (Resident Evil Series, "mmm .44 magnum rounds"). You treasure them little coloured boxes like pumpkin pie eaten on Carmen Electra's tummy.

Cheating swiftly eliminates that element, as well as the element of fear and danger. I like having enemies that are as good as me or even better.

I am fully aware on that whole cheat codes take a way slot of the fun in a game and so forth and I haven't and am not planning on using any cheats right now. I do want to play the game stright first. I just would like to now why it gives me that message when I just want to screw around in the holodeck levels or something.

You have to enable them. At the console type...

WARNING! If you don't want to cheat, don't read below!

..."sv_cheats 1" to enable the cheats such as god, etc...

Elite Force is fun, but does anyone have the Add-On mission pack? I want to know how that is, especially with the Tour Mode that allows players to go around all 15 Decks of Voyager.

Now that sounds good. I will put up a tent in the torpedo bay. Have we ever seen that room in the show, btw?

You run around in all 15 decks?!? Sounds cool!! I'm planning on getting the expansion pack as soon as I have enough cash.

Apart from running around, examining a few rooms that have been added, and solving some mind-bogglingly easy (and also downright boring) mini-puzzles, there isn't much else to do in the expansion. No new missions, no new weapons... it's a complete waste of money, unless Elite Force is your personal surrogate God.

Does anyone know how to frag that boss insect thing and the end of the game? I keep trying and my personnal photon torpedos don't seem to have any effect. I tryed to fry him with the dreadnought weapon; no noticable effect. I try to pump him full of lead with the scavenger weapon; no noticable effect. Does he have some type of weakness or something? Maybe a few testicles I can kick to bring him down???

I ran around screaming, and shooting him like mad.

I used up all the energy for my mini-torp weapon, and about half of the electric thingy weapon before he went. Simon says he has a shield, but I ignored that.

YAY!!! I beat the boss. Ok. I used cheats to do it, but I did get through all the other levels without them. I was kinda disappointed about the ending though. It was sooooo.....Voyager. I felt like there was supposed to be something more to the ending.

I don't see the big deal about using cheats. I don't know if any of you have played the Ultima games, but I like to roleplay a super-powered malevolent mage in them, and cheats help me do so. Cheat codes are fun. :-\ I don't feel any less satisfied if I'm cheating.

Picard: Mr. Crusher, what's our maximum speed this week?
Wesley: [checking manual] Uh, 9.4, sir.
Picard: Very good. Take us to Warp 9.8 then.
Wesley: Aye, sir. Warp 9.2 it is.
