It's that time of year again.

Braving the holiday rush at the shopping malls. Shoving aside women and children as you rush for the registers. Slamming into cars in the parking lot as you rush for the exits from the mall. Cursing at the clerk at the register (who has been there for 10 hours without a break) because he shorted you a quarter in your change.

Sometimes I really hate this time of year.

I saw all of that today at Towson Town Centre. It's really sad. Next year, Amazon.com and eBay get my Christmas money.

Still ...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

*rolls eyes* What is it w/ people and Xmas? Hello! It's a holiday! You're supposed to be happy and relax and all that! Give up the whole "oh shit, I have to stress out because... because... well, no reason, but because that's what people do at Xmas!" thing!

Oh, BTW, that's just a general complaint brought up by the stuff you mentioned, Jeff. It wasn't aimed at you, necessarily. :-)

Well, see, I was at the mall today, because I forgot I had to get a frame for a poster I got for my sister.

And I got to hear some guy just cuss the clerk at Suncoast out because the clerk shorted him some change. I mean, it was horrible. The guy had his kid next to him, and he's just screaming "cocksucking motherfucking thief" over and over again.

And then I saw people pushing each other out of the way in the mall itself, and a couple of people coming damn close to a fist fight over a fucking parking space.

A PARKING SPACE! A few NICKELS and PENNIES!

WHAT THE FUCK?!

So much for the spirit of Christmas.

I'm going to go watch "The Princess Bride" cause nothing cheers me up like that movie.

Well, thank you very much.

Do you give gifts for Boxer's Day? I think I might move to Canada.

Scrooge, unless you meant to say your hero is Scourge, in which case I am scared.

That's Boxing Day, not Boxer's Day. No underwear or dogs, thank you very much.

I'm pretty sure Boxing Day has more to do w/ boxes (the storage medium), rather than boxing (the "sport"). Right?

I read Dickens' A Christmas Carol every year at this time. Personally, I recommend that everyone do so. If nothing else, it might calm down a few of the idiots such as the ones Jeff encountered at the mall...
