Well now that I'm in computer graphics class on a Mac, its brighter here. Definately much easier to see.

Snay, seriously, you need to get a 3d-card. You won't believe how much smoother the refresh rate will get.
Good cards started arriving at the market five years ago. You can get a decent card with 32Mb RAM for practically nothing.
And though cards nowadays can hold 128 Mb, CS came when 32 Mb was top dog.
