In a very "deep" (emphasis on the quotation marks) moment, I read this and wondered, What if some uber-advanced civilization with the technology to control black holes actually built that jet of energy on purpose as a weapon to use in a war with a civilization in the neighboring galaxy? And then I thought, I should either be a science-fiction writer, or I should be locked away... [Razz]
