Remember way back in the third season episode "Defiant", when Thomas Riker boarded the Defiant with Kira? They bumped into O'Brien and Riker made like he was all mad at O'Brien. "I have nothing to say to you O'Brien, and I think you know why!" O'Brien skulked off like he knew what Riker was talking about. I'm glad he did, cause I still can't figure out what Riker was referring to. And at this point, Thomas was still pretending to be William. Does anybody have any idea what supposedly happened there? Or was it just done to throw O'Brien off kilter and get him off the ship?

It was the latter.

John Flansburgh: "We can finish this conversation in the car."
