Yup, it's that time again. I've been busy redesigning my site again, and this also includes updating my Members database. And I have a few questions for you..

- First, does anyone here have the FASA Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home Sourcebook Update? This is allegedly the book where the Voyage Home aliens (Arkenites, Ariolo etc.) got their names. Can anyone confirm this?

- In Bjo Trimble's "On the Good Ship Enterprise: My 15 Years With Star Trek" there's a chapter called "Worene" -- A Special Alien in ST:TMP. Therin's website lists the freaky female alien as "Worene". Is there any evidence to support this? Does anyone have this book?

I had the FASA book. Those names ARE used in the book. Whether they made them up for the races is anyone's guess.

I recall that the STIV names were makeup department names, like those from TMP, appropriated by FASA for their books. I don't have a source, though, so maybe I'm off.

Do you have the book? If you have, I would be interested in any background stories for these aliens (preferably the exact text)?

Also, has anyone found the Edoan in TVH yet?

Yes I have the book, but there's two full pages for each race and they run from page 49 to page 79. I can't type that much out! Yeesh, it would be literally half the book. The first half of the book is background info on Trek III and IV timeframe, Security Procedures, Federation Council stuff and a FASA derived timeline of events. The other half is just the aliens.

The Edoans may not have been in the movie. Many of the alien pages have a picture in addition to a sketch, but The Edo page has only sketches, so they're probably not to be found.

Shouldn't it be Epsilon Indi VIII instead of Andor VIII, Flarset IV instead of Efros IV, etc.? That's like calling our planet Terra III.

SoundEffect's chart is misleading. The FASA book gives the details as, to pick one example:

World Log: EFROS
System Name: Flarset
Position in System: IV
