is it just me, or does the Registry numbering shown here look like crap since the arc doesn't match the saucer diameter (don't even get me started on the lettering applied to the shuttle bay *ugh* which doesn't match the angle of the Registry number). i wonder why they didn't take slightly more effort for an otherwise very nice looking model.

even weirder, the ventral registry numbering is perfectly in line with the arc of the saucer. strange.

It does seem to be of a smaller diameter, but I wouldn't have noticed without being told...

This was noted when they made the CG model. It's the same thing on the physical model. My rationalization is that the pointy shuttlebay thing bent it out of shape. [Wink]

Same here. The rego number does look stupid now, but I never gave it any thought before.

I noticed this when I first saw it but took it as a sign that the model was incomplete.

hopefully you're right (they have left off most of the starfleet markings that make it on other ships, afterall). i rather like the design as shown here, and i would like to see a completed one.
