Well, I'm sure this is a first, but I've been working on this ship for 3 1/2 years (I'm very slow, and I never finish what I start). I started it as one of the Nova class proposal from the Tech Manual but since the Nova's already appeared on screen and there's already a dozen Nova on the Net, I changed the name to Terra. I've been changing the details and proportions for the last 2 years and since I'm about finished with it, I finally decided to show it to you.

I must warn you, I absolutey CANNOT draw on a computer. My hard drive is almost full and I don't have money for a new one so even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to use a good program like PSP. So I did it in ASCII...

*can already hear the laughter all around him*

So here it is: http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Saturn/6606/ascii/Terra_21.txt

I'd like some comments on either the design, its specification (like it's too powerful or something) or the spelling (it never hurts does it?).

A yes, for the correct proportion, you'll have to view it with "edit /h" (Ah, good ol' DOS ). If anyone goes through all that work, I'll greatly appreciate it.

PS. I also did an ASCII starship chart of some sorts. If you're curious, you'll find it at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Saturn/6606/ascii/FShip_09.txt

Yup, because I drew it that way. In 80 x 50, it's just right but in normal DOS (80 X 25) and in Windows it's all stretched vertically.

You do know about Edit right ?

Okay... You just have to go to the DOS prompt and type "edit /h Terra_21.txt". Edit is an old text editing program, the equivalent of Notepad but for DOS. Glad to see you're interested !

ER.

I HOPE you mean "Morale officer," rather than "Moral officer"...

A Moral Officer sounds too much like a Political Officer... like the guy who reports back to Command if anyone does the slightest thing not in agreement with the State's policies...

In other words, the guy who should be launched out the airlock immediately after embarcation.

Yes, I'm sure you meant "morale."

Errr... Yes, that's what I meant, of course it is! Why would we need a "moral" officer anyway? To lecture captains about the respect of the prime directive or about avoiding changes to the time stream during those ever so funny time travel? Of course they don't need those !

Joke aside, I'll correct it immediatly! Thanks for the typo. What do you think about the rest? Surely you have something more to say than just a spelling error? Please pretty please...

No moral officers? So you want immoral officers? *L*

Well, think about a starship aboard which everyone's drinking (real alcohol), gambling (real latinum) and having sex. We always complain people are too perfect on ST except maybe for Barclay.

Let's make a series with it! Star Trek: The Playful Bunch! These are the adventures of the USS Depraved...
Her mission, to declare war on everyone just for the kick of it... To seek out new forms of entertainment...
To plainly just have fun and let the Feds be d*mn... To really have more fun than any other crew before!

Say, you wouldn't have anything to say about my ship? Or are you torturing me into begging you for your opinion ?

Hm... USS Depraved, currently under the command of Captain Liesure Suit Larry... *L*

And, yes, you have to beg. We're trying to train you. Next week is "roll over". :-)

Wow, talk about a lack of feedback . I wonder if it's the format (ASCII) or just the design that sucks, because that's not encouraging me to post any of my future work as it is.

Don't feel bad, TerraZ. I'm the moderator, and hardly anyone posts anything in my design threads.
