Hey, guys.

I'm looking for story ideas for "Star Trek - Gamma Quadrant: YEAR TWO".

Essentially, I need some good story ideas! I've got all of YEAR ONE (ten episodes) scipted out, with eight written and two more to finish, and about four episodes of YEAR TWO scripted out (roughly), and I'm out of ideas ...

Any ideas? HELP!

Let's see... Here's some random story ideas:

-An old, long-thought-extinct enemy of the Dominion is back!
-Finding the link (no pun intended) between the proto-humanoid aliens seen in "The Chase" and the founders, given that they both had Salome Jens playing them.
-Time travel story to the beginning of the Dominion.
-Iconians! Iconians are always fun.
-Another Federation Starship with a spit & polish crew joins the team.
-Another Klingon Starship with a slash & sing crew joins the team.
-Another Romulan Starship with a cloak & dagger crew joins the team.
-The local Admiral comes-a-visiting. And he's so cool, the crew mutiny and want HIM as the captain.

Actually, I think the admiral transfers his flag to the Tokyo in an upcoming ep, doesn't he?

Yes, actually, Adm. John Kvach is a "regular" cast member of the final four episodes of YEAR ONE, and possibly the first two, three (or even FOUR) of YEAR TWO. And he's got some cameo appearances in quite a few other episodes too.

I'm working on an episode where the Tokyo finds a Starfleet ship adrift and battered ... and the evidence points to a close ally as the perpetrator.

Then of course, YEAR TWO begins with Macy's court-martial, the refit of the Tokyo, Melanie Kline deciding whether or not to remain aboard as XO, and some other minor plot lines.

YEAR TWO will also see the Bajorans re-establishing their colony of New Bajor in the Gamma Quadrant, and of course, more of Section 31 and, as always, the crew of the Tokyo has to stop attempts by either/all sides to start another war.

So I need like four or five episodes still to fill out the void. The final two eps of ST-GC YEAR TWO are going to be really cool -- the first one of those two is going to be a "tip-o'-the-hat" to the Mutura II battle between the Reliant and the Enterprise, and the last ep of YEAR TWO will be really cool, just ... well, just because. And I can't get into more detail now.

BUT -- I need four or five good episode plots! I was thinking I'd make one which features Captain Dasz and the Segur, which would be a nice change from Macy and the Tokyo. Still need a plot for it, though

Another ep which I'm looking forward too has Cpt. Macy acting as a mediator to when a Dominion member world wants to secede from the Dominion -- which the Dominion doesn't like very much, because a) once you're in the Dominion, you don't get to leave and b) it's a key strategic site on the Gi'ant border.

I'd like to do an ep focusing on the CMO, who is often absent from ST-GC 'cuz he's a really boring guy. I gotta create a new character to replace him.

I'd also like to do an ep with a "TOS" feel -- but I still need a plot for that. ARGH!

So ...

Ideas
1) A long range probe sent out 6 months earlier by the Tokyo suddenly stops transmitting the last image recieved is of a Borg cube. The area it was in is deep in Dominion space. They have to seek Dominion approval to go that deep into their space.
2) Q brings Captain Janeway to the Tokyo for fun, once there she has to cope with being isolated from Voyager and her crew. The crew of the Tokyo suddenly detect a phomenem which only Janeway has any experience of, this phonenem can also send Janeway back to Voyager...
3) After a routine mission the Tokyo is recalled to the Alpha Quadrant after a surprise Breen attack on ships in occuppied Cardassian space. the Tokyo is replaced by the USS Belfast:A Sovereign class starship. After the Tokyo returns, not all is waht it appears to be. After managing to dodge Breen patrols and defenses at high warp the Tokyo enters orbit of the Breen Homeworld and begins peace talks. The situation resolved the Tokyo returns to the Gamma Quadrant.
4) When several Dominion systems go supernova, the Tokyo is caught in the shockwave and flung 50 light years into Dominion space and discovers the source of the supernovas: A severely unstable Wormhole which if it carries on threatens to close the Bajoran wormhole forever...
5) When Tokyo recieves a distress call from a far away star system. The star system is 2 weeks away at maximum warp, the Tokyo is the nearest ship to this system and engages Warp drive after only 5 days at Warp the ship suddenly grinds to a complete halt, The sector they're in belongs to the Dominion and the ship goes into Omega mode for the first time. It seems that the Dominion have been experimenting with Omega which threatens Warp travel for a distance of 100 light years.. thus leaving the task force with no way to enforce the treaty!

NO BORG!

NO JANEWAY!

I've already got a Sovereign-Class starship, the Segur.

The task force (Federation, Romulan, and Klingon) are in the Gamma Quadrant at the invitation of the Dominion, so I don't think the Dominion would try and disrupt that. The True Dominion might, so that might actually work. Hmmm ...

There are plenty of starships in the Alpha/Beta Quadrants to deal with any threat the Breen may pose. Besides which, the Tokyo's a pretty battered/beat up starship, so I doubt it would survive entering Breen space (much less orbiting the Breen homeworld).

Idea #4 is pretty good, although I don't know how I would work it. Maybe change it so that New Bajor and not the wormhole would be in danger ...

Thanks, Darkstar!

Tokyo tracks a pirate ship to a world where science is ineffective (phasers no work, communicators inoperative, etc.) & magic and spirituality are the rule of thumb. I'd be happy to help with that aspect of it.

Ugh, now my hands are filthy from having to post through Explorer. Nothing a little turnip ointment won't fix, though.

Sounds like a combination of a DS9 episode and a TAS episode... Anyone remember "The Magicks of Megas-Tu"?

I do indeed remember "Megas-Tu," Mark. I completely forgot about that.

In any event, it's also the semi-basis of a story I've been working on for myself set in the world of FASA's old "Renegade Legion" game.
