Here's a little bit of progress on an old project of mine.
Jeffries top

For those of you who haven't spotted this design on JoAT already, it's supposed to be a development of the original Shuttlecraft concept sketches made by Jeffries.
The concept's curved hull would have been too costly to fabricate so they went with the more affordable box shaped shuttle that we're all familiar with.

very interesting design rev. How many personnel would this shuttle have held? Also, Would there have been a rear door or just the side door we see?

At a guess I'd say ten or twelve.

Very nice, "Reverend"! I see you've cleaned some of the lines up a bit. I like how you've interpreted the details. -

Hate to sound ignorant, but what is "JoAT"?

Ohhh I agree with Jason, paint it green or give it a bird on the bottom - and make the bussard collectors blue - its a VERY Romulan design.

I really dig the side view, but I'm not as crazy about the top view for some reaosn. I don't mean the art, which is, of course, killer. Just the design...

Thanks for the info and URL, "Reverend".

I agree w/Jason and "AndrewR" about going Romulan with it. Somewhere around here I've got the Michael McMaster (ITIS) blueprint set for the Romulan Bird of Prey and it includes two shuttles that, IIRC, look a LOT like that design! Makes me wonder if McMaster had seen that design and added it as a Romulan version, since it looks so much like it could be.

I'm not painting it green and calling it Romulan.
That would be extreamly lazy.

I think it's those cut outs that spoil the top view, I should make them conform to the curve of the hull a little more. Also the windows need finishing, other than that I can't see what else I can do.
