Still haven't seen the whole thing. But nutshell observations so far:

-This is building to the season / series finale, where Teal'c and Bra'tac intend to lead the free Jaffa to defeat all the System Lords simultaneously with the help of the Tok'Ra and Earth. The idea is that if you take out all the big baddies simultaneously, there will be no bigger baddie to take over afterwards, which is the Goa'uld MO.

-For the record: Ra was the big bad Goa'uld for the longest time, though overall the System Lords still generally fought each other for no real supremacy. After they killed him off in the movie, Apophis looked to be the force to be reckoned with. His own defeat allowed Sokar to rise to power with a huge fleet of ships, and his death ultimately brought Apophis back. He absorbed the forces of both Heru'ur and Chronos (thanks to SG-1, ironically) and made him pretty scary, the former having inherited his father's fleet, and the latter being the single most powerful System Lord after Ra and Apophis. After Apophis finally kicked it, most of his forces ultimately went to Anubis' return, making him the single most powerful System Lord ever.

-As all this was hapening, whoever was in charge at the time was also wiping out all the other System Lords, including most of the guys we saw in "Summit". Most of Anubis' forces died with him, allowing Baal to inherit the remainder, including the Kull warrior factories. He's been wiping out the few remaining System Lords, this year including lesser Goa'uld like Camulus and Moloc, which brings us to this episode.

-I'm glad to see the remote missile attack still is still being used by the SGC. However, I'm fairly sure you can'r use a $10 pen laser to designate targets! Try this for starters.

-It took me a while to realize Jolene was playing Ishta as a drug addict, which makes sense. I'm guessing she really wants to play this stuff for emotion, given her lack of dun with it on Enterprise.

-The scene where the free Jaffa are slaughtered was pretty cool. Kinda funny that depite having he place surrounded, there's a big arc where it's not covered for Teal'c, Ishta and the other guy to escape...

-The working title of the episode was "My Big Fat Jaffa Wedding", and the A-plot was originally supposed to be Rya'c getting hitched.

-Rya'c, tame that 'fro! [Smile] Actually, I think he's just trying to keep more foliage than his dad. I think this is the first time we've really seen Bra'tac without his cowl, too... Odd that while most Jaffa were pretty domed up a the outset, few actually wear the cowl anymore. I think that Ra and Apophis were among the few System Lords that really enforced the baldness thing, and that as the System Lords are being taken out, more Jaffa are letting it grow out. Also, we haven't seen the bulkly retractable helmets for many years...

-This is the first time we see horses come through a stargate, which is kinda neat. There's one particular shot where O'Neil and Carter walk downa corridor, and pass a horse that wlks behind them. I might be mistaken, but that could be an optical effect; the corridor set isn't very long at all, and this shot made it look REALLY big by comparison.

-Finally, everyone recall the ping pong scene. Classic.

"Hey lady Jaffa, don't do anything but be patient with Moloch so that a more powerful Goa'uld doesn't take over."

Isn't this the advice the Tok'ra always give and SG-1 always ignores? I was hoping someone would point that out, but no one did.
