Too busy to post a full report at this time, though this is a fairly enjoyable episode. I just wanted to answer the burning questions:

-Everyone's talking about it, but visually speaking, there is no apparent sign that the expedition was ever gone.

-The Asurans DID leave Atlantis with three fully functioning ZPMs, and the city keeps them... for a matter of days. Before they know it, one is shipped back to Earth to power the Antarctic outpost and its weapons platform. The other is donated to the Odyssey for use against the Ori threat. You can bet we'll see an episode referencing this on SG-1 when it comes back. Yes, the two series are still supposed to be shown concurrently.

-McKay is all bovvered that Atlantis isn't at full power, even though they have all they need to power the shield and cloak. Also, the stardrive was destroyed or disabled last week, and I presume that they don't know how to fix the thing.

-They'll wish they DID have all three ZPMs by the end of the episode, though. And in case you're wondering what sort of insanely cool things a Daedalus class ship can do with a ZPM, the end of the episode is just for you. [Wink]

-Not only did the Asurans fix the damage to the city caused by the gang last week, they also fixed stuff that's been busted the whole time. Even more sections of the city which had been prevously flooded are now patched up and accessible, which is pretty convenient this week.

-Fish or whale? Tell you one thing, the jumper-sized eye that goes by the window ain't no fish eye!

The coronal ejection moves at more than 4000 km/s. Presumably, that means less than 5000, as well. Also, it takes less than an hour to travel from the sun to the planet. So, the planet is within 11 million miles of the sun, or more than five times closer than Mercury is to ours. I'm guessing Atlantis has some pretty warm summers.

Also, after all these years, you'd think someone who works on science fiction special effects would have figured out that things in space don't operate on planes. And yet, the particle stream deflects to either side of the ship, and not "up" or "down".

Tried not to read much of this - is this the second part of the mid-season cliffhanger!?! Has it aired?

Regarding the marvelously planar deflection of the CME, you could argue that they specifically angled the shields to be a plow of sorts. Why? So that you could see the Daedalus through the VFX, silly. [Smile]
