Okay, I know that Stargate has already started in some parts of the world, but if we had a choice, what would you like to see?

* I know it's not going to happen, but I'd love to see Jack return. Of course, I'd keep Mitchell too, since I like the character.

* Maybourne. He's just so much fun now!

* The adventures of Sparky and Gate Boy. Seriously. [Big Grin]

I wish some of the other technologically advanced human societies, or even the ones that aren't so advanced, would start to question why a handful of nations on one planet get to make decisions that potentially affect the entire galaxy. I like political intrigue, and it really doesn't seem fair. Surely there are other groups that might like to get in on the Atlantis mission, for instance.

Whatever happened to Maybourne after he and Jack went all Lord of the Flies on each other on that moon? Did he ever show up again?

I want to see Stargate go public!

They've been running this thing for a decade now and still it's a secret to the general population, only it has to be the worst kept secret in the world since a hundred thousand people must know about it.

How long can they build and fly massive starships before they eventually just have to say, "Listen, we're a spacefaring planet now and we need more people than are in the United States Air Force."

I would really like to see some plotline involving space exploration advocates going, "We need to go to Mars and the Moon, and we need to develop these technologies and space is our future!" and whatnot and then have the people in the Stargate program go, "Well, actually..."

I would imagine that this sort of plotline would be the conclusion of the series, but even so, in 2010 the Earth was fully spacefaring and the Stargate was an accepted means of conveyence, and we're only four or five years away from that mark now.

Yes, well, Kinsey had to go and get Goa'ulded so he can't become president and get things rolling...

Speaking of which, I'd like to see another episode with the Aschen as hinted by Joseph Mallozzi.

Yah, but that was with the "assistance" of the Aschen. And that didn't happen.

I definitely like the idea of a "United Nations"-type plotline developing for the SG universe. The writers have been slightly touching on the issue with the off-and-on negotiations between Landry and Garakh. But simply put, since the Goa'uld have been sidelined, there's virtually no remaining political infrastructure in the galaxy. Each planet and community was already kept so isolated that it's a big deal just to maintain their own situation first. Heck, the Jaffa are having enough fun trying to establish their own new government...

Still, seeing some more-advanced Human communities would be a welcome sight again, and it sure would be nice to have less unilateral action on the part of Earth, which unfortunately amounts to an extension of Dubya's foreign policy into space. (I just absolutely loved Vala's little speech to Landry about how the SGC helped eliminate the Goa'uld, and now were stuck with the responsibility of helping to establish the New Galactic Order. Go Vala!)

It would be interesting to see what the reaction would be if and when they let the public know about the program. I'm sure a few people wouldn't be happy finding out that we've been under alien attack for the better part of a decade.

Whoa... Kinsey got a worm in the brain? Sweet. I really need to catch up on the later seasons... I hope Jack was still around to see that happen.

Somehow, it just isn't the same without Jack's humor.

What I want to see:

Jack turns up missing during a massive incursion by the Priors. At the last minute, when the Earth is yet again about to be toasted, he shows up and blows the entire Ori invasion away. He then reveals that he is the First Ancient and now in Nathan Brazil fashion is about to reset the universe.

Yes. He was on some planet where the people had made him their king.
