Common themes: Island society seems to be breaking down. Or at least among the popular kids.
Jack telling Locke to shut up? Thumbs up! Though Locke is my very favorite character; but what's his angle anymore?
So after the timer runs out, everything gets freaky and there are pictograms. OK. . . It seems to have been left unclear as to whether the numbers reset themselves or whether Locke keyed in the rest of the sequence. I mean, I'm guessing the latter, but we don't actually see him do it.
I guess the internet is claiming that they were actual Egyptian heiroglyphs, perhaps with an ominous message.
I like how, instead of the two sides we were led to expect last year, factions seem to be cropping up all over. Jack and Ana Lucia's army, Sawyer and, well, just Sawyer I guess, unless he can convince Kate to help him again in the future, and now Sayid seems to be starting his own with Charlie. Meanwhile Locke's, uh, followers, have totally evaporated.

Well, we didn't actually see the numbers on the screen, but we saw him hit the "execute" button.

Sorry for the delay in response, but I'm just getting caught up....
Anyway, I'm now very curious as to what was starting up when the hierglyphs started to appear. Obviously it wasn't a bomb, but there was a lot of machinery and turbines starting to spin up.
When Sayid was interrogating the guy (Henry Gale), at one point he said "You want to know who I am?", but Sayid's back was to the camera for this one line. I had to run this back several times, but I'm conviced that it was NOT Sayid's voice, even though you could see his jaw moving.
And as for his name, Henry Gale is Dorothy's uncle from Wizard of Oz (the books). The professor (the wizard) came to Oz in a hot air balloon. This guy is so full of crap.
