Saw that when he originally posted them at Scifi-Meshes. Not completely accurate, but still damn impressive! If you want to see some pics of all the models, go to his Photobucket site here: http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l226/coxxon/

I like this ship. It's like a mini battelstar.

Yeah, it's actually in the show, too. Almost wierd that they'd include an obvously military ship and not make mention of it. I think someone said that it was actually a fannish design that the effects guys dropped in, though?

Yup. It was kind of an in-joke in the miniseries RTF, like the Enterprise, but this one stuck around.

Well I see it in the preview for season 3 in the first webisode. It even has a hanger.

Edit: I think the Enterprise sticks around too during reused stock footage.

Maybe? My only gripe is that there were episodes were it would have come in handy.

Maybe it's a FORMER frigate, converted for civilian use. We've never gotten a close look at it, so we wouldn't know for sure about its gun turrets, etc. If the writers were actually paying attention to these sorts of things on the VFX side, it'd be instant inspiration for an episode or story arc concerning the fleet trying to refit the old girl.

Wow, thanks for that. I don't think I've seen these before. Low poly, but the textures are so good they can still look convincing.

I made a pic with them. Nothing that creative since I didn't really have anything in mind, but it turned out pretty good.

Edit: BTW, big fan of the work on your site. One of your pics is my wallpaper.
