EVERY sci-fi show has done this story. SG-1 at least twice, I think. Still, the whole purpose of this to show how characters will react when their whole reality is going nuts, especially relevant to each other. I had fun with it.

-Anyone else think RIGHT AWAY when Weir told Shep to take an additional marine unit, that they were pretty much dooomed from the beginning? And that Major Leonard's team wasn't going to be much better off?

-The cave exterior has been used before. Plus, with all the long lenses director Martin Wood was using this time, it was obvious in a couple brief shots that there was nothing behind it.

-Speaking of which, the cinematogrpahy was insanely good this episode. There were a LOT of distance shots used in this episode, used to show people and things in the distance. Really helped especially when the audience is forced to barely see things the characters themselves see only out of the corners of their eyes, at first.

-A Wraith bunker? Have we ever seen one like this before? Whatever it is, we discuss here how Wraith tech is somewhat self-healing.

-Maj. Leonard's team uses MP5s, as do the Marines.

-We get a little more proof here of the Atlantis expedition's experience in the SGC before being shipped to Pegasus. One of Leonard's team was at some point serving on, or alongside the bemourned Earth ship Prometheus. Leonard himself has directly fought Anubis' Kull warriors. We know Ford and Sumner had been through the gate before too, though that doesn't necessarily mean that they were part of an SG-team.

-The Canadian dialler guy wasn't there this week. Instead, an attractive brunette was spouting his lines. [Smile]

-Granted, the black sergeant dying first was a surprising twist, even though he was supposedly the less injured of the two. However, Rodney's own madness was pretty easy to pick out.

-That close to a grenade, Teyla should have been covered in pieces of Major Leonard AND Colonel Sheppard. Or else Leonard just has an iron fist. [Razz]

-McKay *did* inhale, and only got itchy and wanted to eat a lot of bread. I dunno who here is a friend of the hookah, but that sounds remarkably similar to a party I went to once...

-The Russian wreck has been seen before in SG-1. It's a rented prop.

-While not out of the realm of possibility for Shep to have been using an FPN-90 in Afghanistan, it's hardly standard issue for US forces. He's Air Force, but he's not SF, so he probably would have signed out a carbine or something. OTOH, this WAS an hallucincaiton.

-This is the first time we've seen Atlantis use a UAV. Apparently a boosted signal CAN get through this EM interference though.

-"I'm sorry for shooting EVERYONE..!" - Sheppard

-The Daedalus will be picking the gang up. I guess the writers forgot about sending a team through with a naquadah generator to manually power and dial the gate. Or did they? The whole thing with the Milky Way gates was that once you power it up, you can manually spin the inner ring to dial out. The Pegasus gates have not been shown to spin at all, and instead just have spinning lights. Perhaps this capability doesn't exist in the Pegasus gates? Even if it did, it'd be tough to spin a gate that's half-buried in the ground, which is how most Pegasus ground gates tend to be found. This in turn is because they're usually CG gates these days and not a physical prop.

I always wonder why the SGC doesn't use the Kull armour, as it did in one episode. Considering its impervious to projecticles, blasts and can walk through force fields, its a very handy suit of armour!
