I've only seen a couple episodes of "Danger Mouse", but that was enough to see it was one of the better toons.

I remember Dangermouse and Bananaman. They were brilliant, and were cartoons that I watched all the time as a child. Anyone remember Batfink and Inspector Gadget? They were brilliant too. My whole childhood was spent watching this stuff - I loved it!

I loved Inspector Gadget and Danger Mouse. I've seen some of the Banana Man stuff, but I didn't really get into it. Nickelodeon used to show Danger Mouse on Saturday mornings, but it went off the air again about two years or so ago. I still WATCH Inspector Gadget on ocassion.

Edited Note: Thank you pointing out that my mind moves faster than my hands. I watch Inspector Gadget. I do not what Inspector Gadget. Thank you

Duckula was introduced in Dangermouse, in a story where DM had to obtain some of the Veggie Vampire's tail feathers as part of a ransom demanded by Baron Greenback for the safe return of Penfold. . .

Posted by Jeff Raven (Member # 20) on :

I remember that, Lee!!! I remember Duckula attempting to be a comedian, but ended up putting on shows in the Antarctic to penguins...

And TOC, we're not too old, you were just deprived.

Or am I showing my age.

My childhood was typical: summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring, we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds. Pretty standard, really.

Monty, you remember Batfink too. I loved that cartoon.

My supersonic sonar radar will help me
Come Karate, we must find Hugo Agogo

The cartoons then have never been topped in my opinion...they were just too good.

Clarification Mode.

Danger Mouse, Count Duckula, Banana Man and lord knows what else (including Trap Door) are all British Cartoons made by Ardman (I think) Animations.

Dont know if they were ever shown in the USA.

End Clarification Mode.

BTW - Loved Trap Door too.

INACCURATE INACCURATE
DATA IN ERROR!

DM, Count Duckula and more recent series such as Hugo & Victor and Avenger Penguins, all hail from the British "Cosgrove hall" Studios. Bananaman was made by someone else, who I don't remember.

Aardman Animations is the group responsible for Wallace & Gromitt, and the more recent Rex the Runt. ("Tuesday!")
