You are an Ensign Sovok, dispatched to an outpost: "Outpost 40", near the Briar Patch. Ensign Sovok is a human who was raised by Vulcans on Vulcan. His human parents died in an failed Warp Funnel Experiment, and ever since Sovok was raised by a Vulcan Master. In so saying, you are one of the only human who have mastered the Vulcan Nerve pinch.
It just so happens that the USS Enterprise E comes by your outpost for routine maintenance and you are asked to assist Captain Picard and Commander Data investigate an Archeological site on the Baku Planet.
The games play is phenominal!! It's like playing your own movie. Cinematic computer rendering aside, the story seems solid too, making references to earlier ST: TNG episodes!! But you don't have to be a Star Trek fan to love this game (tho' it helps).
All I can say is, if you like Role Play type games, that make you use your mind to solve puzzles in tough senarios.. GET THIS GAME !! Not only with the interface blow you away, but the story should too.

The Other Dax;
basicly this game is for people who like eye candy but if you like a game that you will be playing for more then a couple of days , keep the $50 and wait until St Armada is released.

But basicly this boils down to what you look for in a game , i look for a game that has more then meets the eye in the case of Hidden Evil , it actually has less then meets the eye.
i payed $40 bucks for it I just rounded it to $50 seeing as most games cost that much .
when activison , first started developing the game they set out to make a new type of trek game which would be fun for all gamers not just trekkers , that of course is very hard , imagine trying to please both Trek fans which are some of the most dedicated fans ive seen and the casual home gamer which doesnt know a Klingon from a Tribble and of course in their persuit they had to cut and snip here there which resulted in a watered down game .
Hidden Evil is Activision's first try at trek games , unfortunatly its also its first Flop , but dont count them out yet they have 2 upcoming titles which promise to knock your socks off .
Star Trek : Armada and the first Star Trek PC game based in the Voyager Universe Startrek Voyager : Elite Force.

Too bad.. it has a lot of potential..
I've written Activision to see if they were going to bring out an expansion pak.. I doubt I'll get a reply !

Not really, of course.

"I've never seen anything this beautiful in the entire galaxy. Alright, give me the bomb" -Ultra Magnus, Fight or Flee
But i seriously dought that they will come out with a pack because the game was designed in such a way that if you did want to add somthing they (By "they" i mean Activision) would have to actually make a seperate add on or patch so that the game could load missions , so if they do come out with an Exp. Pack it will most likley be very expensive and hardly worth the trouble :-(
i feel bad for Activision cause now this will effect sales of St: Armada and that game really does deserve the hype around it.

I feel sorry for the designers because they had a good idea but the guys in marketing always have to chop it up.
