About noon here (6am EST) an apartment owner got a call from someone saying there's a bomb in their doorway.
The owner called the police, who immediately sent a large detail with a bomb squad to investigate. They'll send in the little remote-controlled cameraBot soon.

It's about fifty meters from my flat, I'm home with a cold, eatin' tortellini and playing Mafia and suddenly I hear this from my dad on the phone.

Go down the street on the picture 30 meters and you're outside my doorway.

Needless to say, I'm a bit nervous. Although the potential blast probably won't harm my house much, the knowledge that organized crime strikes down right here is kind of scary.
This is a nice neighborhood, pretty close to the center of Stockholm.

The hotdog stand on the corner here is one of the most visited by the Stockholm police patrol units, as their route passes conveniently here. At least three times a day you can see policemen and -women getting their daily helping of greasy goodies. So I've always felt kind of safe.

I hope it's just a dud, but regardless, these cowardly scare tactics sure are pissing me off.

I didn't realise until you said Stockholm that you were in Sweden!! I'm picturing this to be like someone in the USA!! Hope everything is O.K.

Unfortunately, we no longer have Elliot Ness around to loan you. You'll have to come up with one of your own.

"He pulls a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue!" - Sean Connery, giving good avice on crimefighting, "The Untouchables"

"I'm supposed to plant a bomb under the car of Morello, the competing Don."

Spoiler warnings, bitch.

That's funny.

But do you mean that, or are you just playing with my emotions?

Well, the bomb squad picked the box up with their bomb robot, drove it out to their bomb center on Arlanda Airport and opened it.

It contained a cellphone.
The box was meant to terrorize and scare the victims, and they succeded. The two persons owning the place the bomb was delivered to have been threatened before, and pressed charges last week. So, no coincedence. *sigh*

Anyhow, the spokesperson for the police said they will release more details concerning the investigation when they think it's ok.

Cool.... That it seems to be a fake....

Still, I'd imagine the old heart was pounding....

Glad to hear that things are -- mostly -- okay. [Smile]
