Has anyone read Robin Hobb? She's the pen-name of Megan Olgden, who also published as "Megan Lindholm."
I got hooked on her Farseer Trilogy, which tells the story of the bastard son of a royal house and FitzChivalry's upbringing as the "King's Justice" (aka, assassin) as the nation struggles against the deadly Red Ship Raiders, as well as treason from within the ranks. A great trilogy, hooked me on her stuff. I didn't care for her "Mad Ship" trilogy, but I'm already hooked again on "The Tawny Man" trilogy, which picks up with FitzChivalry twenty years after "Assassin's Quest."
I HIGHLY recommend them.

Amazing, Have you considered a career in back-cover blurb writing for the Fantasy market? Because whatever you just wrote made my eyes glaze over in exactly the same way. . .
