I just finished slogging through the drop/add web system for my spring semester classes (which start in about two weeks).

I don't have any classes on Tuesdays or Thursdays.

My first class is at 11:15 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Now, I'm not slacking off here -- several of the four classes I'm taking are rather intense, from what I've been told. So I'm certainly going to be doing a lot of out-of-class stuff.

All History majors are required to take a seminar on "the studay and writing of history." It apparently involves progressive work on one long, huge term paper, and a lot of the work takes place out of class -- independent research, especially. I'm also taking a philosophy class on metaphysics, which is reputed to be rather difficult -- although I chose it because I enjoyed the logic class with the same professor last fall.

These two combined are probably going to eat up a lot of my free time; my other classes are "Introduction to Astronomy" (with lab; chosen to fulfill my A&S breadth requirements) and "Germany in the News" to brush up on my German skills.

I'm just glad that I'm able to clump ALL of my classes in one block, to let me organize my out-of-class time easier. Last fall, my schedule completely sucked because I had only one-hour breaks between some of my classes, and that wasn't enough time to do much aside from some of the assigned reading...

My schedule is all right. I still haven't been able to get into the management class I need (for the love of god, I've been trying for four freakin' terms!) so I'm only taking nine hours. That's probably a good thing since my economics of developing countries class is very writing intensive. I get to spend every Friday afternoon at the library just to try and stay on top of my research.

The class that I'm least happy to be in my freshman composition class. I curse the honors college for screwing up my core curriculum; I curse my academic advisor for not catching this until I tried filing a degree plan. I also curse myself for not double checking everything thoroughly and agreeing to take the 5:30 to 7:00 pm Monday-Wednesday section.

On the happy side, I only go to class Mondays and Wednesdays. I can sleep in until about 10 am or so. Yay.

DE's not bad. Yet. It'd help if Calc III was a prereq, though, 'cause for a while I had no clue about partial derrivitives and functions of more than one variable.
