It may be a little early for others yet, but I've registered for my courses for the 2003 Fall and 2004 Winter terms. My schedule for 2003/FA goes like this:

Chemical Thermodynamics, MWF 0830-0920
Intermediate Math, MWF 0930-1020, T 1330-1420
Basic German, MWF 1030-1120
Inorganic Chemistry I, MWF, 1130-1220
Organic Chemistry I, TTh, 0830-0950
Intro to Philosophy, TTh, 1000-1120
Organic Chemistry Lab, Th 1430-1730

Going for a chemistry major. Have to take some arts courses for the combined degree thing. This schedule is much better than the one I'm in now, for I'm done by 12:30 everyday! However, there's a course I have to take in the second term that is at the same time as the second half of the german course. I have to decide by the fall whether or not to take the engineer's combined math course so I can take the second half of german...

Still looks like that schedule could be an ass-kicker with all the math related homework you'll be assigned. Unless that's your thing, which in my case it most definitely isn't.

Thank God Graduation is only 5 weeks away... [Roll Eyes]

German, Chemistry, and Philosophy...? *raises eyebrow slightly*

I don't mind doing math-related homework. [Smile]

Well, i'm in the combined Arts & Science degree, similar to our resident Breen. I have to take two arts courses, so philosophy (because I don't want to take more english) and german (because I might be going to germany in 2005). Also, I think philosophy is one of those courses needed for education. I want to teach chemistry, this a chemistry major.

Philosophy is highly overrated, and has little use in a classroom setting. Atleast that is my experience in the classroom. But hey to each their own, I took Poetry to satisfy one of my art classes(Classic Mythology was the other).

Damn, that schedule makes mine look like a walk in the Playboy Mansion...

AAS 321 Asian Am Fiction MWF 11:00 a.m.
GEOL 300 Environ Geology TTH 09:30 a.m.
W S 300 Wom/Agnts of Chng MWF 10:00 a.m.

And that's just for the current semester.

For next semester:

Calc III
Structured Programming in C++
Physics II
Circuits and Signals I
Biblical Ethics

I'm gonna try and test out of structured, though, and take Intermediate Programming and Healthful Living in its place. And if I have enough free time this summer, I may just test out of Calc III, too.

Next term eh?

CS 240: Data Structures and Data Management
CS 245: Logic and Computation
CS 246: Software Abstraction and Specification
BIO 140: Microbiology
BIO 365: Resources in Bioinformatics
...and associated labs.

Or I could go hog wild and swap CS 245 for Math 230: Statistics. I'm living on the wild side [Wink]

Hey, UM, what's your major, anyhow?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and postulate that that was not, in fact, his actual schedule.

Philosophy may be highly overrated (and I sort of agree), but the prof he'll have certainly isn't. Dr Flagel is very cool, Topher.

So I've heard. A friend of mine is in the class now, which is one of the reasons why I'm taking the course. I'll just borrow his textbook for the yera, as long as they don't come out with a new edition... [Smile]

"Philosophy is highly overrated"

I can't even begin to convey my despair at THAT statement.

Theology seems so cool, though, you know? I mean, they train you how to be a deity, I'd imagine.

You'd have to start as Yahweh's mail room clerk, but then you'd move on to be Vishnu's personal assistant, and hopefully, if your cards play out right, you could end up as Jesus II.

FILM MAJORS ARE SO AWESOME AND SEXY AND DESERVE TO HAVE ALL THE LADY DATEAGE!

Sure, if you like 30 hours a week of workload on top of your class time.

It'll be my last semester next fall, so besides the three required English courses I'm taking it easy (no dissertation needed - whoo!).

ENGL-406 Poetry Writing
ENGL-445m The Literatures of America: Cross-Cultural Perspectives
ENGL-456 Contemporary Poetry
MUEN-307 University Chorus
THTR-222 Stage Make-up

I'm tempted to take another sailing class, though. I'll see how I feel about it in a couple months.

"Wombat Agents of Chang" is a class now? Wow maybe they'll address ground hogs too.
