Thanks to Isabel, I was without power for nearly thirty-six hours: lost all the food in my fridge (thankfully, I didn't have much).
Looking out my window I can see a couple of downed trees. There were some really big trees in Baltimore that got knocked down, and apparently Fells Point was flooded - three feet of standing water!

It went farther west in Pennsylvania then predicted so we didn't get as much as they had originally claimed. It did knock out some power around the Lehigh Valley, but no flooding or major damage around here.
Twas fun to watch though.

It consists of strapping Rob onto the hood of my car as a human shield.

Isabel shot right by me and my FUCKING AIR CONDITIONER DIED ANYWAY!
It's 95 degrees inside my apaetment as we speak. I'm actually happy to be in my frigid workplace.
The repairmen were slated to arrive at 1PM and never showed up. Odds of them showing up on a sunday: -99.9%
So, I feel your pain about the "no power thing".
