It rocked. if you say different, go fuck your self like John Hartl of MSNBC should. It's long but it's escapist fare and good, too.

Seriously, i enjoyed myself. The movie had a vib and that's a good thing....

I SHOULD FUCK MY SELF.

It was good up until the part Vin Diesel was in.

I liked the flying things.

Posted by Chase Ultra Magnus (Member # 239) on :

I would fuck Vin Diesel, too. I'd get him to call me Paul, and he'd tell me a story of Alec Baldwin always closing in patented Growl-o-sound.

Posted by Free ThoughtCrime America (Member # 480) on :

That chick in the porno movie Diesel made said he was a good kisser.

Daria Argentina? Was that her name? Close enough for horseshoes.

But what does Alec Baldwin have to do with anything?

Did you see The Getaway? Were they really having sex in that movie, or what?

Posted by Chase Ultra Magnus (Member # 239) on :

PLEASE talk about The Chronicles of Riddick, man-baby.

Posted by Free ThoughtCrime America (Member # 480) on :

The Chronicles of Riddick Bowe would've been better. At least then you could have stuff about the "Sweet Science" that has been lost, and the hero must go and find it.

Posted by Nim the Fanciful (Member # 205) on :

What is a "Chronicles of Riddick"-Bowe? Is it a hybrid of a book and a show?
You americans with your rock-music and weird entertainment forms.

I don't know. I don't know anything about popular culture. It is not hip to know.

The actress in XXX with Vin Diesel was Asia Argento, daugther of Italian director Dario Argento.

No.

So last night, I finally watched Pitch Black. I have had the DVD for a bit but haven't gotten 'rounnd to watching it before last night. I missed it at the movies when it was out - obviously.

Not a bad movie - not SPECTACULAR.

Pretty formulaic. I don't see the need for a sequal. Sucks how Caroline died. Her surname was Fry - was this an hmage to Futurama? [Smile]

Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :

"Hommage", actually, if you're trying to be French.

Niiiice.

She's purdy and a total whore.
Truly, the best of both worlds.

Sure does'nt say much that her comment after fucking Diesel was about his kissing though.

Despite Diesel's (and cast) overall good acting performances, Pitch Black was pretty contrived.

I saw it in the theatre and sure would'nt have gone to see a Pitch Black 2, but this actually looks promising.

We'll see on Tuesday when I get to watch it at the midnight show.

Ya know, according to the CDC, prostitutes in the US generally are disease-free. They're pretty consistant about using condoms.

The porn industry, on the other hand, isn't, and I've heard they have an HIV problem. Frequent tests aren't good enough when you can be HIV+ for up to two months and still test negative.

Which is probably more than you ever wanted to know.

Yes Marian, it was more than I needed.

Damn you! You've ruined pornography for me forever.

OTOH, it's not as those the bueatiful objects in pornography are real people anyway. [Wink]

Was it the war that made you this way?

I look forward to seeing "Chronicles", if only for the guts they had in naming it like that. Also, Dame Judy Dench gives it a little style.

Ah, who am I kidding, Riddick kicked ass in "Very Dark" and he'll kick ass here too. Enjoy it for what it is, that's what I say.

Thing is, embracing porn if front of a girl can be considered chauvinistic, and calling pornstars subhuman also alienates those brave boys and girls working their ass off for you, so you're in for a verbal "sandwich" between the two crowds. [Smile]

Posted by Topher (Member # 71) on :

I'd like to clear up something here. The Chronicles of Riddick isn't really a sequel to Pitch Black. Its a new story set in the same universe with a character from the previous movie. All the Star Trek movies aren't really sequels of each other, are they?

Wonderful smiley aside, despite thoughts to the contrary, say the big Mnificient me is ladyless, and will not meet these performers of mechanical monkey sex with embellished moans, the sandwhich proves no mre uncomfortable than a nice, cable-knit sweater.

And "an homage" is awful English, anyway. You can put "an" before a word beginning with "h" if the "h" is silent. Never at any other time. Unless you're really posh, or a bit of a twit. Or Tim.

So, no, but what topic? Oh. Yeah.

No the movie was bad, but not nearly so terrible as I had been lead to believe. It seemed like there was a very interesting story in there somewhere, but you'd have to dig. The production design was super-awesome. The good thing about having Thandie Newton in the movie is that, by comparison, the other performers seemed amazing. And Judi Dench is like providing some sharp contrast. VD was hit and miss, but looked and moved great at all times. I felt there were story and pacing problems throughout, and a lot of the dialogue and naming was... horrible. But I did enjoy the action, the setting redeemed most of my criticism, and I even kind of got into one sub-plot sort of in spite of myself. I'd give it a C+ (maybe B-) for action-sci-fi fare with 'The Fifth Element' holding an A. Someone ought to start a spoiler thread in GenSci-Fi so we can discuss specifics. But not me.

Someone should publish a collection of good story ideas for sci-fi.
...and then beat you to death with it for thinking that pretty music video was a "A movie".

Man, Archie comic books have more story.

Oh yes, wasn't she in "Martial Law" with fat chinese-cum-american cop and inplanted fights for whatever reason really, like "Watch it, gook! You almost spilled out my beer! -Beer makes body soft, my fist is hard! *krok* *baf* *whizzz* Put down on my tab that, Stan! -You got it, chief..."

I read on imdb (duh) she started practising wushu or something for the show, then took a liking for it and got picked for Deathstrike. She really is gorgeous, like doll-cute.
They say symmetry in face is the international, cross-boundaries recognition of beauty.
