Glad as I am to see the Yankees go down in flames, I'll be looking forward to seeing the Cardinals kick ass in the World Series.

Of course, now that I've said that, watch Houston go ahead cream them tomorrow night.

Oh, you gotta check this out. This asshole Lee over at Right-Thinking From the Left Coast is already drooling over the possibility of a team from Texas facing off against a team from Massachusetts, "...Just like the political World Series on November 2."

* Er, a different asshole named Lee ...

I would imagine that he would be more interested in the Washington Redskins game that will be on October 31st.

As far as the Astros/Cardinals series is going, I'd be happy if the Astros win game seven but wouldn't be surprised if they miss it. Houston's sports teams have a history of choking when it counts although, granted, the Astros have done very well in these past thirty or so games.

So, like, at first, I was all excited about this thread, thinking it was about the latest and greatest version of DOSBOX (which, I will grant, is less exciting if you aren't a big nerd, though I did wonder what that deadly squadron of exclamation points was doing in the title), only to discover I had misread and wound up square in the middle of passionate intercourse on baseball teams.

There is no justice in this world.

Baseball is boring and pre-empts more entertaining shows. Boo.

Hey, I was entertained.

Ya gotta give it to them..... coming back from the brink to win the series after down 3-0. I had already written them off as non-winners until yesterday.

My bets is that Joe Torre is going to get his ass fired. I hear George Steinbrenner hates losing. Really bad.

I thought maybe it was actually supposed to be about the botox, but alas.

Nothing about injecting posion into your face to eliminte wrinkles is strange enough to get it's own thread on Flare.

Unless it concerns the length of the Defiant or those damn starfleet fighters, that is. [Wink]

I think it is safe to say that, in addition to winning the series, the BoSox had additional motivation from the tragic death of Vanessa Snelgrave.

This one's for you, kid.

Victoria Snelgrove.

But yes, I agree whole heartily.
