Sorta from another thread with the First Contact battle... I though we could start a thread based on favourite Youtube stuff you've found.

Looking at star trek stuff I came across this: Things you can't do when you're not in the pool

It was actually quite funny.

Secondly this Deep Space Nine "Trailer"

Not bad - could have dropped the B5 music at the start and had fewer 'sentences'.

DS9 Fan Trailer

It DOES however highlight how apt DS9 is now more than ever reguards intolerence, religious zealots, terrorism and the what happens when civilisations are threatened. Listen to Dr. Bashir's speech in the bit from "Past Tense".

GRANTED these things have always been around.

And this is a smaller version. Has a good critics quote in it. "The best show on television that no one noticed".

Here is the smaller version of the trailer.

Another DS9 'montage' well done. Maybe a little long. Well done though!

There is a fantastic bit in the middle spoken by Quark to Nog about Hewmons.

There is a different one done Here but it is not as good.

ONE more - Voyager and DS9 bloopers! I didn't think they released any Star Trek bloopers after TNG season 1!?! The best is saved till last:

Voyager and DS9 bloopers!

TNG bloopers? I didn't know Patrick Stewart was even capable of screwing up...

Now that Micheal Dorn character. Well, he's just a fuck-up waiting to happen...

Posted by AndrewR (Member # 44) on :

Yes, have a look on Youtube - there is the TNG season 1 bloopers too. Supposedly they never showed/released any bloopers after season 1 or 2 due to the editor-people editing a sexually suggestive moment between Troi and Wesley which was shown at the wrap party and to which Stewart was none-to-happy with.

Actually, the gag reels are shown at the Christmas and season wrap parties, and are fine as in-jokes. The furor was over Gene taking the first TNG gag reel and showing it at conventions. Several cast members -- including Patrick -- were rather pissed at that.

--Jonah (wishes he had outtakes from all 21 seasons of TNG, DS9, and VOY)

Hmmm. Wonder where I got my version then? It was at a convention.

Avery Brooks seems REALLY funny in those bloopers. Most interviews I read (well the few that I've read) about the DS9 cast - he is always portrayed as being rather a non-nonsense type of person!

What was Brooks and Frakes laughing about when leaving the DS9 bridge elevator? I can't make out the words but they sure broke down in fits about it.

Did he hit himself on the door? Or trip??

What is it with fan trailers and that music? They all seam to use that exact same track.

I saw Avery Brooks at one of the first conventions I went to, some time in 1997-98. He specifically told everyone that he was very unhappy about how he was portrayed in the editing of his interview for the big TV Guide 30th anniversary Trek feature. He came across as dour and no-nonsense, and while he prefers to get the job done, he's still a very fun guy.

A few of mine, cause I'm a YouTube whore..

The ever popular "Hey" clip... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_CSo1gOd48

Here's a cool fan made video. Actually a good portrayal of Batman and the Joker. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh4MVNjc0tg

And if this clip doesn't convince you a Superman/Batman movie wouldn't kick ass watch this fan-made trailer. I swear, you'd think it was for a real movie, then wish it were. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wm0N3W-kdzQ

Can we give points for our own contributions? Here's my latest, about anime on the streets of Ottawa, Ontario:

This one's a classic.

Most of you have probably seen this already. But it's still funny no matter how many times you've seen it.

This is just one single blooper, but I find it funny to see 'Data' break into laughter (which is why I almost pissed myself the first time I say Generations): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ut4Ulv05fnQ

That's saw, of course, not say. Yeah, I could've edited. No, I didn't. Wanna fight about it?

That man was very convincing.

I also like Nicolas Cage, especially when he's being an asshole;

Ok, these two are for if you want to pull yourself up a bit, shrug away the problems.
Newest single from John Butler Trio, it's dangerous stough. Sets da blood on faiah, say gawd-bomb. Video is sort of funny too.

If I play this while cooking it...tasks me. It's insidious. Neighbors must wonder what's going on.
Nice change, with aussies that know blues-rock funk. Nice also that the singer sings the verses almost entirely in half-tones.

Speaking of cooking, I found a crazy kiwi one-off cooking show, nice Jamie Oliver parody.

It's not youtube per se...but then again who does?
