I hope they don't plan on using those things at airports since I hate bees and would kill those little sons of bitches if they got near me.

"'When bees detect the presence of explosives, they simply stick their proboscis out,' research scientist Tim Haarmann told Reuters in a telephone interview. 'You don't have to be an expert in animal behavior to understand it as there is no ambiguity.'"

Except, maybe, the ambiguity of "did the bee just smell a bomb, or a candy bar?". After all, the whole point is that they got the bees to equate bombs with sugar.

Reminds me of Frosted Sugar Bombs from Calvin & Hobbes.
Watch for a "Watterson" on the Guantanamo list update.
